Congrats bud. Very clean example. Keep it stock.

Nice to be back in an E30?

Really miss the good old days of the e30clubsa forum.

Shot thanks buddy!
It is nice! Just want to sort her out thoroughly then I’ll see what the way forward will be. Keep it absolutely stock or maybe just increase the enjoyability a bit, but do things that are completely reversible.

Shall see when I get her to the point I’m happy with!

I also miss those days haha. Everything was just more simple then huh.

Hope you been keeping well my friend!

Leave it standard as is untouched and unmolested.

Buy another if you wish to make it your "own"
Just thinking out loud

yeah these are my thoughts too.

I was having all sorts of thoughts but I'll see.
For now I just want to get it 100% and then I'll see which direction I will go with her

Continuing to think out loud.

This car is rare due to the low mileage and good original condition.
In a car park of everyday cars it will stand out for its "purity"

If you wish to make it blend do the following

Engine stroke it
Exhaust fit a noisy rear box with 2 pipes
Suspension do a 40mm drop
Mags fit those cheap worx copies in 19" preferably with skinny tyres.
Give it a tint 80%
Place 2xM badges on the bootlid and 1 on each fender.

Or any 3 choices from the above 6
Just thinking out loud. :)

Sure are very few such examples around.

Back in the good ol days the 320i was one of the smoothest sweetest sounding rides around.

Enjoy.

Thanks buddy!
She does sound sweet the way she holds that 2150rpm as the slush box slowly releases this gentle increase in speed that see's you getting to 40km/h in just over 35 seconds.
It's amazing! :roflol::roflol:

Not terribly much to update here just yet other than routine maintenance is still going on, so to BMW I went and ordered some beautiful new things from the 80's and 90's.

<a href="https://ibb.co/zx4xZMN"><img src="https://i.ibb.co/zx4xZMN/IMG-8135.jpg" alt="IMG-8135" border="0"></a>

Purchase list:
Radiator Top Hose
Fuel hose
Cambelt
Tensioner
Tensioner Spring
45mm badges for Bottlecap rims (purchased, still to refurb)
Radio Aerial Grommet
Oil Filler cap
Window Washer Reservoir lid
Window Washer fluid
Bonnet Insulation

Next on the list is:
Full Fluid flush and replace
Cambelt Service
Whilst everything is apart I'll replace the Water pump and probably refurb the Thermostat housing and one or two other parts so they are looking fresh and new. Then tackle the two spots of rust on the bonnet, fit the new insulation and clean and detail the engine bay.

:praise: This is so clean.

I also have the same list of items waiting for me to do. I just need to make the time and get it done. The cambelt service is apparently a b**** to do, please let me know once you've done.

@HubblyKing!

Thank you so so much man! That is awesome!
I can arrange for a courier to collect it straight from you rather, then you don't have to stress about dropping it anywhere. It's been a while since I've been in contact with anyone PTA side. :praise: I will PM you. Thank you man! :inlove:

@NtandoN, it actually isn't all that bad I don't think. Not terribly much more involved than any other Cambelt service really. That being said, it is a PITA to say the least. This cars cambelt was last done on 3x,xxxKms in 1997 if I remember correctly. It was literally only done due to time, and I don't think it's been done since, so keeping the driving to an absolute minimum.

It is quite likely I will be getting it done by someone though, for 2 reasons;
1) I've never done a cambelt service
2) I can't really work on my car where I stay. I do anyway, but I don't want to push my luck too much. :tiptoe:

Thanks so much @Peter@AEW, I shall do just so.
I am ready to do this soon.

I want everything that comes off the car to be cleaned off properly before re-installing, I am going to go full OCD with this ol' girl :smilebounce:

@mr t, it is a different lifestyle to the newer cars I won't lie. But it's awesome to turn around and see that piece of history there when you walk away from the car, even better to see it's still there when you return :roflol:

Good Evening guys!

A forum member was fortunate enough to take some pics of my car recently, so I thought I'd give him some exposure, that's how these things work. :roflol: Hahaha.

A really big :ty: goes out to ///Avi from the forum, also known as @m3_ct on insta in case you want to go follow his work. A few of us went on a little morning run that turned into a midday run that saw us get some awesome pics en route.

In terms of work on the car, not much else has happened just yet but I will be getting back onto it soonest. The most frustrating part is definitely not being able to work on the car as much as I would like to due to me staying in a complex, but anywho, the pics...

So with Lockdown taking it's toll, this vehicle may be up for sale.

I have managed to source some bits and pieces for her, including an M-Tech II steering which I sold again, I wasn't happy with the condition of it.
Style 5 15" 4x100 wheels, which, no surprises, needed a lot of work and MIGHT be irreparable.
OEM Standard boot spoiler.

And some service items still sitting in the boot waiting for fitment including the fluid flush.

I will update the thread as soon as I know wtf is happening

Good Day Ladies and Gentlemen!

Not terribly much to update on my car other than she's an absolute beaut to drive and to own! :inlove:
I am STILL waiting to get a reliable mechie to assist me with the cambelt and it's ancillary parts, which has me damn near just upsetting the body corporate and doing it my damn self! :dunnoanymore: :eek:mgwaiting:

In the meantime though, I have done some bad things! Things I probably shouldn't have done as the potential sale of the car hangs in the balance for the sake of business, but oh well. Haha. Call them mini-investments I guess.
In order of appearance:
17" Style 20 Turbines (sans the turbines in the pic)
15" TSW Ventura's
16" BBS Style 5's
