Honestly, on such an old car, which has already depreciated so much, do you really think having this 'mark' on its history, which is purely cosmetic damage, is really going to prejudice resale more than the age, mileage, and the fact that it is a 5 series (compared to say a 3series)?

Agreed, Its not as if there is any suspension, engine damage etc, that would have been another story then, cosmetic is really not a bad "comment" not that it will have a comment like with bmw saying what was replaced
