and it is also lower on power than the standard e46

but for some reason ... faster in a drag than the v8 e92 ..... dependent on driver?

What gives you that idea?

On average the Z4M produces slightly higher wkw figures than a stock E46M3, but partially due to the shorter 6 speed box.

For arguments sake even if the Z4M produced 5kw less due to exhaust that's less than 2% on the fly and won't be noticeable anywhere. 15 degree temperature difference will have more effect than that.

From what I've seen on M5board the CSL > Z4M and then again the V8M > CSL so unless the E9x M has more occupants I don't think it will take a Z4M.

However I have not tested this myself...

Edit

Your Z4M is faster than a E46M3 so why complain?

Anyways what you're referring to is theoretical only. ACTUAL flywheel figures are identical and wheel figures should favor the Z4M anyways

@ Sirhan I actually realised something today. The Z4M's don't have a viscous fan like the rest of the M3's have. So that's another tiny little amount of power gain the Z has over it's more practical brothers.
