What discs and pads can i use?

Hi guys i need some advice bout disc and pads for my car.

i got a quote from a workshop for new discs and pads and for my car and i works out to over 5k :shocked:

F#$king ridiculous i think

anyway i what brand of discs and pads do you think i should use?

i'm thinking of using ferodo pads but not sure bout the discs... :dunno:

Alpha international will have discs, but it will probably not be much cheaper than oem, maybe ~30%. You can also check with goldwagen

do a DIY.

midas is selling ATE discs for R350 per front disc.

u can buy ATE pads from them as well. around R400 per set.

yeah looks like i have to go the diy route..... i just need to get a reliable mac to do the DIYing for me :)

ol im sure they wont mind fitting the ebc stuff will probably end up about the same cost but you will have better brakes...

they dont like it much when you bring them the same parts they were going to sell you :)

If you have a taxi and carrying lots of people, then you can use cardboard - works well as brake pads :mmm:

I highly recommend EBC redstuff. I bought from don and they do the job fantastically. It's just a little squeaky for a week or two depending on how much you drive.
