It is cold here. Last night we saw 6 degrees with a wind which felt like we were in a freezer so we were forced to be in doors. Not a problem though, people hopped from chalet to chalet catching up with friends and making new ones.

The couples stayed indoors as well.

So far this weekend has nothing but Epic.

Data network is scarce around here.

Today, well let's see what's in store for today. I can tell you it's going to be about cold one.

Had a filling brunch in Clarens. Took a cruise through the roads. There epic side roads here.

Everyone is all over, sight seeing and doing their own things.

Weather has improved. Still a slight wind but we got sun.

We gonna BRAAI later and keep it going until late. Right now, a nap will do well. C ya!

Oh wait... Some pics!!

Ok, to catch up from where I left off last...

After a good nap and freshen up we grouped up and took a drive, all 21 cars into the mountains.

Andy had found this spot on a few trips on his so he took us all here. It's basically a dead end in the middle of the mountains. Surround by the beauty that God has graced us and the pleasure of the best of Bavaria!

Pictures are going to be flowing. Everyone was snapping away. I can't wait to see... Credit to everyone for pics, in posting whatever I have from my Whatsapp gallery.

Thereafter we all headed back to the hotel to fill our bellies. BRAAI was the order for the evening. Everyone was everywhere again. Socializing from chalet to chalet. Keeping warm with a wood fire. Lots of kak praat.

This morning, early birds and eager beavers had some snacks and took a hike up to the top of the mountain we had as our awesome backdrop. We all had breakfast, then got ready to leave.

Thereafter we departed the hotel into various directions. Some went to Clarens town, some went to Bethleham and some went home.

All in all, it was an amazing trip! I hope everyone had as much and more fun that I did. Please post up your experiences and updates.

Hope everyone has arrived home safely.

There is no question about it, this weekends event is genuinely thee best I have attended. Thank you to all participants who made it happen, it's been wonderful. The pics are going to carry the memories for years to come.

Thank you gentlemen, your continued support to our community is assisting us to grow. Really appreciate the generosity. Many rep points for these guys!

Peejay and Kish - thank you for your assistance through the planning of this event and making sure that everything went smooth over the weekend. Peejay deserves many rep points as he went out to help out Teez on Friday evening.

Again, to everyone, thank you for an awesome weekend.

Start saving up. R200 per month for the next 12 months will be more than enough.

I had saved up, for both this and for December.

Then the 5er decided to throw a fanny wobble and demand all my savings be used on her, plus extra. I don't even know if I can go see my folks this year :(

Will however try me best. Where there's a will (and a prayer) there's a way :=):

This year at clarens took it too a new level - petrol heads enjoying time with family and friends and some of the best driving experiences iv had on a road. New friends made existing bonds strengthened.

You had a bond with the taxi driver

Firstly thanks to the Almighty for taking us and returning us back to our homes safely.

Here's my accord of the event:
We left Pav around 2:45pm lead by Ashman in the Uteforce, the convoy was absolutely epic. Everyone was in single file formation all bunched up. It must have been some sight to behold for the on lookers and passing cars seeing this convoy coming through all decaled up and angels on.
When we got to Marringhill Plaza, the place came to a stand still just cause we were pulling though with some music provided by our engines.
In PMB Omkar meet us on the freeway and it was onward to Escourt to meet Mase, again single formation everyone in a line not more then 4cars space between each of us.
We picked up Mase and up Van Reenens we climbed.
At Bergview the GP crew was already waiting for us. The laughs began early. My journey in the convoy ended here as I went to Warden. However from Warden a 2 car convoy headed to Golden Gate hotel.
At Golden Gate hotel the e36s stole the show was they were the most cars there. 3 of them.
On Saturday we meet with Andy and had an amazing mountain drive.
On Sunday after many times saying goodbye we checked out, took pics and headed our separate ways. Some KZN guys headed home the rest of us headed toward Bethlehem. Once again single formation in a line.

This was an absolutely awesome trip for me. I think the best yet.
Clarens16 will be even better.

Thank you Arbee for the sacrifice that you made for this event and for pulling off such a big event smoothly.

Thanks to our sponsors S&I Auto, Firi, HK Customz, Icechilli and Hubblyking

Thank you Kish for assisting the KZN side of the logistics especially since you also had a lot going on at home.

Thank you Panda for assisting Icechilli with the decals

Thanks to all the participants for attending and providing laughs and kak praat (BTW I said ClarenS) and snoring and most of all Fast cars.
