My set arrived in the mail, the quality leaves a bit to be desired, but they are better than what's broken on the car I suppose and 1/10000000000th the price of the BMW ones.

Just placed my order  :woot:  R71 not bad - compared to R624.88 at the stealers...sure quality may not be as good but what the heck? :)

My 2 rear ones are too think so the surround does not sit properly. Shall I take a heat gun to them?

My one rear one is already broken so I have to buy a new one. Auto Atlantic had 2 rears in stock, so I bought them. With the discount, the 2 came to R280, so I thought that was not so bad.

I am going to stop buying anything BMW out of either the UK or China.

Like the two awesome looking bonnet badges I have here that have no clearcoat.... would maybe last two washes....

I have been making some slow progress with the project and have a few more photos.

After. I had the console redyed and have put it back into the car.

The steering wheel has also been recovered.

Then it was off to the panel beater to have the dents and scratches sorted out. They ened up respraying the most of the car!

Lets be honest, I have spent way too much on an "ordinary" e34, so it is a labour of love. Project over capitalised!

This is what battery acid does to your floor. They welded in a plate.

The inner and outer chrome strips on e34s alway look so scruffy. I bought new ones at a small fortune and with Ricks help, we will fit them in the next few weeks.

Good progress Greg! Actually I need to have my steering wheel re-covered as well. Plus some painting and rust removal. Can I ask how much was the recovering the steering cost?
