Hi Guys, I have a question to anyone that has done valve clearances on the s38b36: Do you measure the valve clearances when the engine is cold or warm? TIA

Where did you source a new pump? I searched far and wide but could not find one...

Valve clearances done when cold, but this info should be in the workshop manual that you are hopefully following. I took mine in to a reputable shop for the valve clearances as they had spare shims in stock - if you dont have the correct shims, it is a 2 week waiting period for BMW to bring them in which can make it a lengthy process...

Hi Benji, where can you find this Workshop manual? We have a mechanic that specializes in race engines to help us do the clearances. Unfortunately we don't have shims on hand so will probably have to measure...order the right shims...wait... replace shims, not ideal but it is what it is.
We ordered the pump from Sweden. I really hope that summit racing eventually starts re-stocking them. Maybe if we all email them they might get their finger out haha. Thankfully Firi helped you out with yours.

Hi Guys, does anyone know of a front bumper for an e34 M5 that is available? I've heard that they are infamously difficult to find.

Front bumpers should still be available from BMW...they made a new batch recently, prepare to spend around 12k, otherwise try find a used one for about 5-6k which typically comes with damage

Regarding valve clearances, you should be able to find a workshop manual online or at least a DIY forum thread.

Thanks, will check with the local dealership. Had the valve clearances checked. Surprisingly none were out of spec after 210 000kms.

Hey Guys. A real shot in the dark here. Does anybody by any chance have/know someone that has a center cap for Style 20 turbine rims that they would be willing to part with?
