Sorry to hear. How do you NOT see a car that orange.

thats what I thought When it happened :bs:

This is actually an interesting problem - to my knowledge there is no law that provides a "cut-off" age for elderly drivers. We are all eventually headed that way, and there will come a time when one becomes mentally and physically incompetent to drive a car, therefore being a potential hazard on the road. Of course there is the eye test, but this is often less of the problem rather than the age itself! The tragedy is when an elderly person causes a fatal accident and survives - some people are stubborn and proud when they get old without considering this!

Sorry bout that bud... Now your car's gonna have comments for no reason. Ag, it's only steel.

Wrote off my 1st ST within 6 months of getting it, I cried like a baby. The 2nd one lasted 5 years at least

So it turns out that the lady's insurance will be paying out for the parts on my car, BMW have ordered them and it will take at least 3 days to arrive so heres hoping that all goes smooth.

I'm just glad that al the paperwork is now finally over

FYI the cost of work and parts that her insurance is covering is R75 000

Iesh what a lovely car but glad her insurance will cover because that is a steep price. Hope your car looks brand new after repairs. Good luck.

You read right,

I'm glad too, her insurance nearly wanted to send my car to somewhere on the outskirts of Lyndhurst that would have cost R15 000, but I had to intervene on that choice as the place was not BMW approved

I had a clean record since I have my license (16 years), this morning a lady in an SUV with bullbar ran into me while BBM-ing at a robot

Not serious, but the rear bumper needs to be replaced (R15K)
