***Mid Year Update***
After the whole exhaust rattle issue being resolved, she has been moving along nicely...so I started to focus my attention on some random niggles...
Some time back...I ended up driving through a hectic storm (seems to be happening often in Durban these days), I noticed some water ingress at the rear passenger foot wells, having had this issue on the X1 (well, at the front foot wells in this case), I had already known how to fix the issue...
The seal had given way, applied some 3m two-way tape along the inner of the door skin and some old fashion duct tape over the top for extra measure, then simulated a heavy storm using a hose pipe...as expected, issue has been fixed...repeated the procedure for the other side and called it a day :=):
About 3 weeks back, I was running abit low on fuel (well, the light had just come on) and noticed that I had a slight miss/stutter at low rpms if I tried to accelerate, immediately got to a garage and topped up...assuming it was fuel related...
Anyway, my driving style doesn't allow for <1.5k rpms in 2nd/3rd gear often...due to my commute being mostly highways...So things seemed fine, till I started to notice a distinct "fart" from the exhaust on cold starts...surprisingly, it didnt feel like a miss, nor did the car show any signs of a miss whilst cold...but once warmed up it was definitely present (only when at low rpms)...I happened to have a bottle of LiquiMoly injector cleaner...so decided to give that a shot...and it did reduced the miss (but was still slightly present). Continued to use the car to give the LM a chance to do its thing...and gave the car a nice run up to PMB for cars in the park that weekend ...she drove well ,with no issues ...until i got back to Durban and she started to miss again.
Decided its time I set up INPA on a "borrowed" laptop from the SO...lol the Windows XP life:biglol:
With that set up and running, I scanned the car for codes...and no existing errors to note:hammerhead:
Proceeded to remove engine covers, assuming I had a plug related problem...however, was doubtful, as the plugs were NGK platinum (fitted in 2017, with roughly 25k kms on them)
Removed the plugs, and was rather surprised to see that they were more or less toast...especially because they are relatively new ...and suppose to last +- 60k kms

mgwaiting:
Decided to stick with the brand, and fit a new set of NGKs
Scanned for codes...still no faults, so went for a drive, whilst cold...everything was good...but as soon as she warmed up, the miss was back:hammerhead:
This time it had to be a coil pack problem, scanned the car again (didnt turn off after the test)...Misfire on Cyl 2
Switched cyl 2 coil with cyl 1...
Confirmed problem with cyl 2 coil pack:thumbs:, had to wait till Monday to fetch a new coil pack from GW...normally I'd just replace all 6 ...but the others seemed to be fine (did a cylinder drop test) ...so just fitted 1 new Bosch coil:thumbs:
Scanned for codes...all cleared, took the car for a test drive last night and 100% smooth again:smilebounce:
While the covers were off...I treated them to some AutoFinesse Dressle, then I got trigger happy, and did the whole engine bay.
:blowheart:
Should be updating this thread soon, since I have all the components required for my sound install...just need to get some time to actually fit it, atleast
@osiris has helped me out by leaving a remote and rca signal tap in the boot:chef:...till then:ty:
