I am super happy you got your dream car!

Lets be honest, at least the 330i facelift doesn't look too bad without mtech bumpers. You can if you really want it, still add all those trims, but I like the facelift 330i bumper with the silver trim that only the 330s received.

And you got a 6 speed gearbox, which I find rare to see on the good example 330s.

Have many many happy miles in this fine example of a car :cartel:

Thanks man:smilebounce:

Yeah I think this bumper works rather well with this colour combo...the ride height and wheels though :worshippy:

Overall the look is rather unique which I appreciate ...also E46s are rather unique on the roads these days...well especially in Durban:thumbs:

Looks lovely, and yes i can only imagine the frustrating dealing with tons of

- like new
- full house
- no work needed

scumtree adds.

Out of interest how much did a set of carpets cost?

This brand new set I picked up for R600, I do have another lead for a "brand new" set @ R500

Congrats bro! Been meaning to come back to this thread and congratulate you on a stunning car.. @Osiris @that_guy_Ettiene did a great job keeping her in great condition and I have no doubt you will continue that tradition.

The car still sounds superb, plus you have the right gearbox and diff.. Wishing you many miles of smiles with your long awaited 330i, thankfully you found the right one.

@922-ZN, when Riaad is ready :fencelook: I will say at the outset, I would expect him to be in front with the upgrades on the car.. Happy to test though, also need some twisties to level the playing field

Probably soon or the next 320kms or so:hammerhead:

Order the Vanos Seals kit, and luckily for me, Peter@AEW had these in stock:thumbs:

And while I'm here...

The Hazards/Lock Button started to act up, a quick google search helped with a quick fix of this common fault :hammerhead:

img_20190216_113104_184675664.jpg

So basically the bottom of the connector 'falls down' ...nothing some glue couldn't fix, so I cleaned the unit using a toothpick and an earbud (unsurprisingly a lot of muck was stuck within the button) and refitted...good as new:thumbs:

Next up, was the chrome beading, I was hoping to replace the whole side as there are some scuffs and the rear window piece is abit messed up...but I get the feeling it's going to take me some time to find one that is in good nick at a local scrapyard (I won't be donating R5000 to the stealers for a trim piece...thats for sure!)...but for now, the gap was killing my OCD... (pic credits go to Ettiene)

Stripped the entire beading off, being very cautions to not let it get warped...reset the beading in its correct place (I chose not to use any glue here, as I will definitely be replacing the whole trim and don't want to have issues removing it later on)...

The result...

Everything sitting in place...will do fine for now:=):
Next update will be coming soon...well in 320kms or so:ty:

Those trims are notorious for sliding forward and separating from the rear quarter piece creating a gap. I guarantee you it will slide again very soon. Try using sikaflex the next time you reset it in place, it will stay put for long long time.
