Apologies if you don't have a facebook account, it's not on his website at the moment.

Anyway, back to this beast. All well, I'm happy and proud that it's built in SA and will probably be the world's most powerful road going e9x M3, maybe the quickest (if/when prove) on the strip. But I find it funny that they claiming the power, as the car is still being "run" in. So for their sake I hope they achieve that power, but coming from RGM I would like see the wheel figures and see how it stacks up to another s/c M3 in the country with changed internals but not rebored

I hope the bonnet is just not closed because if that's how it sits... :yuck:

But still an insane monster.

The bonnet is open, because in another pic it looks normal.

Doubt Vorsteiner will produce such bad quality products.

RGM charged me over 3 times the going price for supercharger oil. It's R300 from Vortech. They wanted R1020.

They can make power, no doubt their, but they charge exclusive prices which are crazy.

They charge exclusive prices cos they have an exclusive client base, I'm not saying it's right but they are trying to attract a certain market, bottom line is they trying to make top dollar and no one can really blame them for that... We all trying to make top dollar

On a side note, can someone please post the pics for those of us that dont have bookface:rollsmile:

Sorry 922, I completely disagree. Exclusive client base my ass. The supercharger they use is only R23000. The dastek UniQ plus tuning another R5000. The rest is simple plumbing and a "fancy" looking intake. You can buy a better flowing intake from Active Auto or VF engineering. RGM even use the stock bosh recirculating valve. I guess what I am saying is, that one can easily import a kit from USA for half the price RGM charges and make more power. Get me a quote for a supercharged e46 M3 from RGM... then come talk to me.

I supercharged my 323i for R40k. They wanted to charge me over R100 000. I made more power that what they said they would be able to give me. So who are the exclusive people they are marketing? I'll tell you right now... People with too much money and no care to do a little research on what kits are available. RGM has their place, if you are loaded and don't mind spending up to 4 times the price to supercharge your car, then cool, go for it. But I just want to make it clear that this superstition of having to spend over R200k to build a supercharged M3 is bullshit.

Back on topic. I've had my say... Carry on.

RGM are too expensive. For my Z4M

The Front brake upgrade for your vehicle consists of the following:

· RGM/Vari 6 pot billet aluminium callipers manufactured to RGM specifications

· 355mm directional vented & slotted brake discs

& billet machined aluminium centre brake bells

· Aircraft grade billet machined calliper anchors & mounting kits

· Goodgridge Teflon braided brake pipes

· Ferodo DS2500 street/race compound brake pads

· PRF racing brake fluid

RGM Front brake upgrade cost fitted R32,850.00 inc.vat

The rear brake upgrade consists of the following

· RGM/Vari 4 pot callipers

· 345 x28mm rear discs

· Ally bells and bolts

· Ally brackets

· Braided brake lines

· Rear brake pads

RGM rear brake upgrade cost fitted R 27900.inc vat

Please note these brake callipers are available in black, silver, gold. RGM also offers these brake callipers in ceramic coated Red at an extra cost of R1500.inc per calliper.

Clutch and flywheel options

· RGM offers various combinations of Spec clutch kits with flywheel combinations. My personal preference for your supercharge car would the stage 2 + clutch and the aluminium light weight flywheel.

· Cost of the Spec stage 2+ clutch plate, pressure plate and thrust bearing kit R19000.inc

· Cost of the Spec aluminium light weight flywheel R 12000.inc

· Total Package including installation R 34000.inc

Quaife differential – The quaife differential is a race designed and proven limited slip differential , this is a centre portion and does not change the differential ratio . When installed will allow the equal power distribution to both rear driven wheels , this power distribution is maintained on not only on straight road and pull off but performance equally on cornering .

The cost of this component installed is R 38000.inc

One of the most hideous cars I have ever seen. Let's hope that (unlike their orange thing) this one can complete more than 1/2 a Kayalami lap without all its fluids deciding it would rather explore the surface of the asphalt :biglol:

I couldn't agree more bro!

SAV built a turbo E30 325 for a guy last year and they charged him R82k... and it only made something like 181 or 184wkw... boost pipes were made with bent exhaust pipe tubing etc... My turbo conversions go for around R30k all in and are done with stainless steel all nicely TIG welded... power is about the same but at lower boost.

So what I am trying to say is that there are times when its better to spend the extra cash but always shop around as these Big Players often take you for a good ol ride if given the chance...:fencelook:

Dude please, not every car enthusiast, myself included, has the time to go researching and hunting for parts ect at bargain prices, and yes RGM are aiming for an exclusive client base hence their prices, bottom line is that it is their choice to charge whatever they feel, if they feel their work is worth R100k then that's what they are entitled to charge. Don't get me wrong, I agree their prices are astranomical but they are a business at the end of the day and it shouldn't bother you who agrees to pay their prices or not. If you have such a hatred for them that you flame their prices at every single opportunity you get, then why don't you just go take it up with them cos it really seems to rub you up the wrong way

You seem to have missed the point of my argument. Once again 922...

Learn to read slowly... Everytime I have "bashed" RGM, it was to point out that people can get a kit for cheaper. Why must you insist on always turning this into an argument. What I say, is purely to educate this forum, that there are better options. How do I know? Because I have done it myself. If you want to spent the money at RGM after my advice, you are more than welcome to.

But most people don't realize that there are other options. There is a stigma that supercharging is meant for an exclusive club due to what RGM say. You say you don't have the time to research it? Then you deserve to get ripped off and have no leg to stand on when you come crying that you got ripped off on any car performance purchase you made.

So get off your high horse china and actually understand what it is that I am saying.
