Restoration: e34 M5 (metallic dolphin)

Ok, so the car was bought outside Polokwane (Pietersburg) is number 037 of the e34's made in South Africa, in April 1991.
The car is scheduled to arrive by Auto Carrier hopefully Friday, will then post some pics, in addition to progress being made in restoring it.

why would anyone the the 5 off an m5 just to replace it with an M??

no idea stolen and recovered.....badges already on order

to date, items bought, and I don't have the car (yet):
driver side door lock and mechanism for 1 Pound
new window water washer bottle and pump, in white clean plastic, car has an ugly brown one, 5 Pounds

does this mean you must use different keys for opening and starting car?

that bottle is really priceless, it lifts the whole engine bay up so many levels! I would kill for an E30 one thats super white and clean

no the lock gets matched to the current key, both locks were smashed when car was stolen

Isn't that just the truth :=):

But I'd do it again the E34 M5 is worth it.
