Let me start with this!
What the heck, Rennzport has been sitting on this tiny performance modification for so long and not selling it!

This is the best little performance modification you can do to your manual car...and do it without delay....

But first:

Short Throw Clutch Stop

This adjustable clutch stop allows faster and smoother shifts by removing the dead space between your clutch pedal and the floor.

The installation of this modification snaps in to place like your OEM clutch stop and is fully reversible. These clutch stops includes rubberized adjustment shims that do not rattle. For manual transmissions only. It is so easy to fit and the result is just amazing!

Ater the installation the car did not start and I had to to remove one of the syms for a perfect start-up. All 5 syms are recommended but you can shoose how short you want your gear throws to be. You will see this sign on your dash if the car does not fire up the first time:

The sym is the exact size of a R5 coin:

The new Clutch Stop installation completed within 5 Minutes including fooling around time. The picture on the left with the red star clearly indicates the back elbow part of the clutch that is blocked by the new stop when you switch gears. The picture on the right shows the new clutch stop perfectly and tightly in position:

How does the car drive?

The gear throws are now quicker, shorter and easier. The e87 One series owners will know how clumsy first gear feels; well no longer. I just love the smoothness in the transition of the clutch shifts.

The best is shifting in a corner...yes, I sometimes still do that...comes with age. If you forget to downshift before the corner, changing quickly in the corner is as snap as can be. That is all I can say...

Price: Grab this little mod from Renzport ASAP for R150.

Rennzport has two customers now running it on their manual 135s. Feedback from them will be in order. I can also already see owners queeing up before the festive season at one of Rennzports new agents (The Dent Doctor Boksburgs) premises to have this install while they wait...:joy::joy:

Great little mod.

I got one made up by my mechanic and installed it. Needs a size 17 wrench to adjust it, but works wonders. So this should be a really good little mod.

This is a bit of old news, this mod has been done on e46's for years, and personally I think the price tag is a bit on the ridiculous side.

Only Sank can say that.

I am aware it is old news hence my surprise. It is a brilliant mod and more people should do it. If there are woman drivers out there on this forum...this must be your Xmas pressie from the hubby...

There is another style of the same mod which we also sell/promote...also very good looking but lets start here.

Thats also a good idea.
Rennzport has been promoting the clutch delay valve (CDV) and the short shift kit but this little old mod beat both for the fraction of the cost. The CDV has not been getting good feedback from customers (even though people are still buying it) so not going to bother to push that one.

Sounds like a cool lil mod but true the price is steep looks like a piece of plastic plus some rubber bits... I wouldnt pay more then at most like R60 IMHO.

I'm sorry but I just don't see how its better ? What's so wrong in placing your foot all the way down to change gears ? Advice , not being rude , just curious because I don't see its value yet

There is nothing wrong with your point above. A gear shift only engages when the clutch "elbow" touches the clutch stop. What the mod does it firstly extends the clutch stop forward and secondly shortens the travel of the clutch elbow to engage a shift. So this allows you to change gears quicker and the shifts also feel smoother.

I fitted one to my car...

I had like a inch of clutch movement at the bottom that did nothing, just wasted space, gear shifts were very jerky etc, even after a few months of driving the car I could not get them smooth, as there would be this empty space & then the clutch takes..

Now with the extended clutch stop, I have no more wasted space...

I would recommend this mod (even though I did not get this specific one)

once your clutch is released there is no point in pushing the pedal any further... if you want to shift fast you need to push the clutch in just enough to release it the rest is just wasted time...

this makes it easy because you dont have to remember where the release point is you just set the stop there and push the pedal till it stops...

I'm going to give this a go on my car, I hate that dead space and I rarely ever hit the stock clutch stop. Sometimes it feels like my foot is touching the kidney grill, that thing is so far back :fishwack:

Might also replace the CDV to see whether it makes those 1st to 2nd changes more comfortable. That being said, I want to get my flywheel inspected in Jan to make sure everything is good there.

Chris please PM your cell number to me.

Bayn, I have your contact.

Let me try this, I am going to get Freerider, Bayn and Chris to test on their cars and give us feedback. But it means we will have to make turns using just one unit for testing, I dont think revo is going to be very happy with me giving these away.

In addition i am waiting for the two 135 owners to give fedback as well.

Will this specific one only work with bmw?

I am testing it on my Corsa and C2 later this evening if not too tired. Revo will check on his Picanto.

But it will work very well on your e90 323
