That was the M4 CS. Launched a few months back overseas. The M Festival was the SA introduction for it.

These things are getting closer to holy grail 911 GT3 money... I'm sorry, these are not worth the asking price for 7% power hike, swapped out panels, special colors and a different badge. Get a normal M3 / M4 and use the difference for something else.

Those are all concepts though.

The only “R400” is the Oettinger which isn’t an official VW product in the same way Alpina cars aren’t BMW products.

The Golf R is a totally different model to a GTi as well. It’s like a 335i and an M3.

The first M3 CS was in the E46. Don't think they sold it here in SA, but they did get it in Europe.
