That looks pretty cool! Really going to have to give this stuff a go!!
NavZ said:I used thinners/turps, which peeled the rubber off in an instant then I cleaned it off immediately. I just covered it in silicone spray to 'treat' the raw plastic & was happy with the result, didn't even bother to plastidip it.

looks great.
what do you use to get rid of the old rubber, I cant see any scratches on your afters.
I see you are missing the silver "button" on the ashtray, or is the photo just wierd
gpgold said:Thanks mate! I used a stanley knife blade to take off the old rubberised coat and then sanded it down with 220 grit then 380 grit. Then gave it four coats of Plastidip with half hour breaks between coats. Unfortunately I lost the silver on the tabs during sanding but I am still happy with it!

nice
I went the easy route, brake fluid.
took the rubber right off, didnt harm the plastic or the chrome.
then I just masked the tabs and 220 gritted
also took the "doors" off, to make it easier
osiris said:That centre console looks awsome Kabal! well done! Did you use break fluid to remove the rubber here as well?
White_Mercury said:@ Philip ? Why not use a mixture between white and black until you get the grey you want for your interior? I would if i were you , give it a go.
I mixed before and it works like a bloody charm.
sorry for the stupid question but how do I post pics like this in here?
Ill upload some plastidip pics.
