tappet cover gasket or vacuum pump seal at the back of the head would be my bet.
Have a look at the little tray above the exhaust manifold, if its full of oil then you have your answer.
Had a look at the tray above the manifold and no oil around there, cant see behind the motor, cars going in tomorrow lets hope its not anything major

Hi there. I have had a couple of 320's and still have one. Okay. Starting at the top.....tappet cover gasket approximate cost to repair from agents R1500 next is the vacuum pump o ring again appropriate price R850 then there's the sump gasket. This is the priciest one running in at around R2450 . There could be other items such as the sensors on the front of the engine. It would be best to get it in for a check up. You don't want to run out of oil with these engines. Hope this helps.

I think my sensor might be buggered tbh, on the drive to pe from cpt the hole way my oil was between min and max on the display, after finding out my cars leaking oil after afew days in pe, I check the reading again after driving the car and it now displays the oil on max, so I have no clue as to how much oil is in there. Il add a pint before driving the car to the mechanics

Another common problem on the e90s is the oil filter housing gasket. These tend to become extremely thin, and thus cause a lot of sweating of oil coming through. This then drips down the front of the engine. If you do an engine bay wash, and and degreasing chemicals were used, small amounts of this oil end seeping through the engine and in the floor.
However, checks all the factors especially the tapit cover gasket.
The oil seems to be coming from the back of the engine, cant get in there to have a look[CRYING FACE]
