Unfortunately not. They are Equip reps. Had to put them on when I hit a pothole in Durban and BMW could not supply 2 original rims.

Welcome sir .

Very nice specimen you have , try to source a set of 19 inch oem diamond cut rims , they will transform your car as your car is silver .

Morning Guys

I have done the bearings and have covered 350km so far. Been taking it easy and no major problems yet. Only fault so far is a TPS error which i will sort out this weekend.
Hopefully this is the last of my problems, though I have to admit that the car has given me trouble free motoring from the time I purchased it. This has been the first time the tappet cover and sump have been opened.

Bearings were R 4500 from BMW
Sump Gasket R 250
Oil R 1100
Oil Filter R 200
Total cost - R 6050

Vanos and bearings were done by me.

There was no damage to the crank. I stopped the car as soon as I heard the sound and the knock was only audible above 2000rpm. I feel that if I manage to cover a 1000 km without picking up another knock I'm safe.

I really do not want to take the engine out for an overhaul.

great job you did there.. im suprised at the cheap price of oem bearings

I thought that was quite expensive. Got a shock when I heard the price for big end bearings. I paid R300 for a set of big end bearings for my V8 Ford 302W motor.

Lovely car bro! Please post more pics.

As for the bearings I also thought that was expensive.. I paid around R500 for bearings for my polo gti.. but then again I don't think you can compare to a BMW. Glad it's all sorted though!

Spares for M cars are hugely inflated. You will find that the same spare that is used in another BMW model will be much cheaper.
I'm also quite sure that all bearings, irrespective of the make of the car are made with the same materials. Only difference is the sizes, but vastly different prices.
