Nav disks

Hey guys,

Who has Navigation in their Bm's? I have an MK III and we copied a 2005 1st quarter disk at the last JHB meet and it worked like a bomb... I can publish this ISO on a FTP somewhere as it is only 40mb...

If anyone has a newer one please let me know and we can everyone's Navs updated... There is no way that I am spending R2500 at the stealers (AKA Dealers) for a 40mb CD...

Maybe we can buy one brand new one and distribute among the people that have navs?

Let me know!

I've got a MKIV system in the X5 (I think). Anyway, I can check what disk I've got. If it's newer, I'm willing to distribute. If it's older, I will also like to get a newer copy, even though I barely use nav in the X5 ... hence, the reason I will also not a pay a stealership for a new disk.

Got Garmap on my BlackBerry and I'm so used to using it in my E39, that I also prefer to use it in my X5.

Will check and let you know by the end of the week, as I'm not home till then.

I also still have a 2008 disk I'm not using anymore, albeit a copy made for me by someone in the forum! I can send that on to someone, just pm me an address.

Disk sent to your addy rudutoit, Can you actually put an ISO somewhere so that people can download? Just remember to preferably use IMGBURN and only write at 4X, otherwise disks just get spat out by the Nav DVD unit!

Just checked my disk. It's a 2008-02. Also willing to share if anyone can advise me how to make a copy or upload somewhere.

Best way to copy it is to make an ISO. Go here and download powerISO http://www.poweriso.com/download.htm.

After installing it, put your disk in your cd/dvd drive and open powerISO.

Once open click the "copy" button at the top of the page and in the window that opens select "ISO" like this:
poweriso.jpg

When it is done let us know how big your ISO is and we can make a plan to distribute it!

ISO image done - about 68MB. Quite small - I was expecting it to be much bigger.

Maybe I can bring it on a memory stick to the Bridgestone Kyalami track day for those that want it ??? Will just need to confirm my arrangements for that Saturday, as I may only be free early in the morning.

that is awesome! I am thinking that there is an easier way to do this! Maybe upload it to my FTP? I will PM you the details and addresses... Once it is up there I will stick it in a share that is accessable to everyone to download!
