Thats what happens when you're at work,

Something I just noticed while driving this weekend is that PTA is really rife with speed bumps, even the road where I took these photos (the road to fort klapperkop) is now so full of speed bumps, that I havent driven it in more than a year. The one place in pretoria resembling a mountain road and they had to go and ruin it.

Careful up that mountain man. Many have been hijacked up there, and I was once almost a victim by guys pretending to be cops!!

VERY VERY NICE RIDE.. We should meet up and see who's faster :excited: 330d vs 330i

Thanks
Yeah I know about this, but I rarely stop there, to take my photos was probably the first time in ten years have stopped there and now with the speed bumps I don't even drive that road any more.

I think the 330d would be faster off the line, and in a shorter race might be faster due to its loads of torque but over a longer distance the 330 would be faster, more power and higher rev range, of course if the race is over an even greater distance the 330d would win again, better fuel consumption :p
(This is based on my opinions, I could be wrong)

And all of you that want to have a meet make sure you are at the meet and greet this Saterday.

And Coisman leave the 9mm at home, we won't be needing it :)

Also for all the people in PTA interested in going to the meet and greet maybe we can organise to meet each other in PTA and then drive through together.

(If you are reading this thread for the first time, or just can't remember what the car looked like before do yourself a favour and check it out on page 1 :))

Changes that have been made to the car:
-Trim was changed from wood to piano black, then back to the wood set that I painted in a colour similar to that found in some of the e46 M3's, then I changed it to the brushed aluminium, and I have stayed with that.
-Replaced the headlights with a set of used OEM xenon headlights, and the bulbs I changed from the OEM 4300K Osrams to a set of 6500K (ish) Philips Ultinons.
-Changed the front amber indicator bulbs to a set of Solaris Invisibulbs.
-Changed the bulbs in the fogs to Xenesis tru-match bulbs (they are meant to match the OEM xenons but they still look a lot better than the normal bulbs)
-Replaced most of the interior lights with LEDs (footwell lights, replaced with blue tinted bulbs)
-Fitted LED replacements for the numberplate lights.
-Replaced the standard shift lever with the Z4M one (for a short shifter)
-Replaced the gear knob with the one from the e9x, then with the one from the e9x M-sport one, and recently I changed it with the e46 look M-sport or something one (from burgy).
-Did custom light grey stitching on the gear lever and handbrake boots.
-Sprayed the grilles gloss black
-Fitted a replica ACS strut brace (From burgy).
-Had the smash and grab tint done (by Second Skynz)

You have done some very nice things to her! Would love to get those front/rear bumpers for my Wife's E46! :)

I am thinking splitters like these:
cs_splitters2.jpg

(The same gizmo has on his car)

Then I am going to try a couple of things out in some gloss black vinyl, like the splitters and the diffuser. Then I am thinking of getting the BMW performance intake system. That is more on the short term.

In the longer term, I want to get 18" wheels, and an aftermarket sat-nav, like this:

Congrats Sankekur, on a beautiful car, and the classy upgrades you have done to her:thumbsup: A mate of mine has one of these ( completely standard ), and the exhaust sound is just addictive. Think these cars were pretty much perfect straight out of the box. Have never taken notice of the steering wheel on my friends car, but the one on yours looks like it's from the e46 M3. You don't mention a steering wheel upgrade, so wondering if I'm right or just stupid? Once again, stunning car:clap:

Yup that is indeed the M3 steering wheel, it came with the car (with the sportpack or something)

Arbee I will let you know.

And thanks for the comments guys :)

Oh I also have to say I one of the things I did, but forgot to mention was to remove the towhook.
