My other N46 - E90 320i LCi

Hi Guys,

Just thought i would create a thread for my E90 320i - seeing as it might be my next high miler.

I took delivery of this one when it was on 104000KM in September 2015. I have had a trouble free 14 Months of ownership with this car. I had a fuel pump problem somewhere along the way, 800 bucks(second hand from a 325i) later and i was happy with my car again.

In February of this year, my dad had a little incident with a curb or something, the curb won. I have been trying to source a 1M bumper for it, however that proved to be too expensive. I still have not got down to sorting that dent out (It irritates the shit out of me everyday)

Other than my fuel pump, it has been general maintenance and Tyres.

This morning i hit 170000KM - so 66000KM in 14 Months

Some pictures

DO you travel for work or is that your daily commute?

Yes, I am a project manager, so about 3 times a week i am travelling. On those trips i average around 800KM a day. My car's mileage is 85% long distance.

So my baby is on 191919KM

That's 87000 or so KM's in my ownership and except for the fuel pump it has not skipped a beat or given a single puff of smoke.

And this is why people should not kickstart their cars in parking lots.

Sorry to see that OP.

Who kickstarted their cars? You or someone else and how do one end up with a damaged bumper from a kickstart in the parking lot, unless you aimed

someone that was parked behind me. My car was parked so innocently away from everyone. See illustration below.

I assume someone roll started a car into his car.

yup 100%

How the heck do you pull out from a parking, straight forward into another parked car?
some people just should not be behind the wheel of a car.

:withStu: Where did this person get their licence....... I would have been on another planet the moment that happend. How stupid is that.

And one would think that your car is safe when parked far away from the door scratchers (if there is such a word)

And to top it off - the security guard (Casino Parking lot - so saw the video footage) said "Apparently this gentleman bumped your car" Effing APPARENTLY - i felt like saying no shit sherlock.

There is no where to park your car safely anymore

Yes most of them are.

you can imagine how the other party is feeling now.
He crashed his old scrap into a BMW and now has to pay.

A few days ago I get a call from Netstar: "Sir, we cannot pick up your car, seems the car was moved, and signal lost. Are you with the car?"

I say no, I am on my say to a meeting, but will ask my security company to go pass and check things at home. An hour later they call again to follow up. I tell them security company confirmed that everything is fine at home. I leave in an hour, so it can wait till I get home.

Get home, open the garage, and there she sits. They test it again, and it picks the car up.
