This is my daily drive when the V8 fuel cost gets a bit much.

It's a 95 Merc C220 manual I'm fixing up. (For a change after the 39 BMW's I've owned)

I know how much some of you hate Mercs, dunno why they are quite nice in their own way.

A lot of ten year old Mercs have very good looking seats as compared to the Bm seats which take strain !!
A good reliable car , ust needs some soul .

Does it have a real key or a piece of plastic housing a circuit pretending to be a key?

If its the latter I would get rid of that car as soon as I could. It s R12k fix and a common fault with that car!

Im guessing that because its a 95 it still has a real key though and because of that is a pretty decent car.

It has a very real key. I'm buying more and more "old stuff" for some reason these days.

IIRC this is not leather. It's some sort of vinyl called MB Tex which looks like leather but ages much better, unless you really abuse it.

Looks like leather feels like shyte! This benz looks like it has the real thing to me though. The classic had plastic and the elegance was leather iirc

My c250td has got the plastic leather and you can see the difference.

Its really sad that I cant even give this thing away for R45k

This ones got real leather I hate that MB tex crap.

For some odd reason, all the C250 turbo diesels came in "clasic" spec only. No wood and MB tex seats. The C250 non turbo diesels were all "elegance" spec.

Ricks W202 is elegance as it has wood and leather.

i love the older mercs though, especially (for some unknown reason) the w114/115 e class merc. im hoping one day in my old age i can have one of those in black paint and red interior as my "project" car.
