Who was teh detailer?

Fraser at YCE Detailing.
also a previous Forum member and Z4 owner.
His workmanship and passion is absolutely 2nd to none.
I'd refer anyone to him.

That oke's work is great. I always check out his details. He does a lot of exotic cars as well.

Update..

So I took the Z into BMW Sandton Auto today for a service..
To date It has full agent service history but the service book was only updated after Mplan so I requested a print out of all maintenance done during those 5 years.
I am quite amazed at the history during this time, basically nothing but the general stuff... see below

I do however want to get the below done before year end..

1) liqui Moly Ceratec , will be getting a bottle of this the weekend hopefully
2) Tyres! I have been putting this off as its essentially a weekend car and only does +/- 300km a month. also I need a new set on my daily..
3) Preventative Cooling system maintenance ,the more I researched before I bought it , this was the only main issue that came up, Water pump , thermostat , hoses and obviously a flush, I am saving up for this as I want to use all OEM parts.
4) Wiper Blades, current one work fine but are squeaky
5) Decat... im 2 minded on this as I would like to keep it as stock as there were no prior mods done..

Car looks good mate , black is a tough one to keep clean , but when it is there is no better colour on a BM. I did the decat on mine and happier for it , not very big difference to the noise note ,but sounds more solid and more, especially on a cold start.

hmmm Im definitely considering it...
will make my mind up once coolant system is replaced/maintained..

Ok so I finally got down to getting some fresh rubber..
Opted for Non-runlats and don’t regret it at all :)
New control arms were fitted just before I bought it and were given clean bill of health.
Car feels much much better, more stable, more comfortable and most importantly that “twitch” at higher speeds has gone.
Really happy..

I will be getting a shot of Liqui Moly Ceratec today and adding it to my fresh oil.

Now the Big One… Coolant system
As preventative Maintenance I intend to change Water pump , Thermostat, Hoses and flush coolant completely. (should I change radiator and expansion tank?)

Can someone please point in the direction of where I can source parts..?
Imcomex and Autozone are not too bad on pricing , +/-R5000 for the Water pump, but I will only get it it once confirmed it’s the “Pierburg” make as they are OEM.
Agents quoted me R8200 for pump alone…
Kotwals have one for under R1000 but I doubt it’s of decent quality.
Thermostats range between R695 and R1995…

I intend to source all the parts this month and have work carried out next month.
Will also be changing all filters that haven’t been changed this year.

Yip Mintys

Had the Nexens fitted on my old 1 series and they were very capable, quite impressed.
also because I bought 2 sets, one for my 320d I got a really good deal. :)

Update

so I owned 2 E87s in the past, a normal and an M sport Model, and although the gearbox was essentially the same I remember the M sport to have a much better gear change feel.
Im seriously against M bits on a non M car, but after reading Clintons thread on the ZHP knob I knew I had to change it. my original knob made changing gears feel a bit wonky and disconnected..
I cannot describe what a big difference this little thing makes, gear changes feel much more solid, connected ,precise and enjoyable..
