Thanks Guys

together with the stubby aerial I got from Mike , it definitely is the best value for money item so far.

I found an oke on Gumtree selling a Z4M steering but he decided to keep it.
would've matched the knob well :hammerhead:

That ZHP knob really is the absolute best thing you can do for any manual bmw!

Ok since im such a sucker for aesthetics the one thing that I don't like on this car is the front bumper, the one thing I always looked for since I got it was the M bumper, but finding it was Hens teeth.

anyways I found this!

I know its gona cost a bucket load if not already to fit it, as I still need to source the Bottom grill mesh, tow cover and air ducts, then still additional clips and primer and paint, im lucky I can still use the kidneys and headlamp washer spout caps...
it will be some time before I fit it on though..[

Thanks man, when are you fitting yours?

My existing kidney grills will work, I ordered the bottom grill mesh and tow cover from agents, i still need the air/brake ducts..

So after lots of patience and money (it really did cost way more than I expected) trying to source the Grill mesh, Air ducts, and tow cover for the M Bumper, I finally had it primered and painted this week and fitting yesterday.
lucky the headlamp washers are a direct fit so no issue there.
I really wanted to have the grills completely black but I didn't want to alter the original grills and I couldn't find a set of used ones.

The below thread helped me if others want to attempt something similar.

I do have 2 issues though
1) when removing the old bumper , the bumper liner broke slightly on the left side, so I have a slight gap between panels, nothing major but I know it will irritate the crap outa me , so I will have to order it sometime.

2) The grills are normally easy to remove when the bumper is fitted on, however each grill has a separate housing, the M bumper didn't have this housing so we used it from my current bumper, problem is my current one had the grills siliconed to the housing by the previous owner I'm assuming and I think he did in in such a way without ever wanting to remove them again, trying to remove it we risked breaking clips so took the short curt and just attached the housing and grills to the M bumper. I will now have to plastidip them whilst on the car :dunnoanymore:

I say we as the panel beater I used is a friend of mine so he allowed me to assist in fitting , or actually I think it was them assisting me..

anyway not the most glamorous of pics but heres one , I will take better ones in the sunshine..

Thanks Guys for the kind words..

So this M Bug hit me hard , after the bumper was fitted I realized its going to look a bit off as the Style 135s are about more on the elegant side than on the sporty, so Style 224s happended..
a side shot of before and after

anyone know where I can get an M bonnet now :roflol::roflol:

Are you considering selling your Style 135 wheels?

I'm not entirely sure I want to let them go..
I had brand new tyres fitted and balanced few months back and because I hardly drive the car they've only done about 1000km, maybe less.
I did advertise it on Gumtree for R10,000

lol hmmm maybe but adding to more pipes to the rear of a non M car is just a bit much??
I really do want the M bonnet though. its just a difference of 2 lines but it looks so much more agro:cartel:

Ok so I finally got the M Bumper complete.
new bumper slides ordered from Agents so nor more gap on fender.
I also found a broken bumper as a scrapyard that had perfect grill housings,
so transferred that as well, a bit bummed as the old housing was also perfect apart from the silicone used to keep grills permanently , I had times so I slowly removed it and I'm busy cleaning the silicone off. if anyone looking for these let me know.
I also got me some aftermarket Black grills as I didn't want to speay the OEM ones.

also loving these MC wheels
