Im sorry but complaints shouldn't be the norm, no matter what manufacturer or series!
Sorry to say but please don't comment on something you know nothing about.
I have owned an e46 325i 2003 model for 5 years. Yes its a solid car but it had its problems
1. Lower control arm bushes at least 3times under MP
2. Diff was replaced twice
3. Oil leaks oil filter housing and tapet cover gasket
4. Water bottle
5. Alternator
6. Clutch
7. Idle control valve
9. Power steering pump
MY E90 325i LCI 2009 was a problem child
1. Gear changes not smooth and mechatronics was replaced
2. Misfire at startup. Injectors was replaced
3. The hunting at startup. Complete head was replaced aventually
Owned it for a year and a half and I got gatvol
My F30 320d 2013
1.Humming noise and after replacing bearings twice it was still there. It has now mysteriously disappeared.
2. Steering rack was replaced
I have the car for a year now and im loving it. Ill think ill keep this car for a long time but only time will tell.
If you see how many F30's are on the road today it is understandable that they will be seen at the dealer more than the older BMW's It must be my imagenation but I see more F30's on the road than e46 and e90's.
The handling and feel of an F30 is miles apart from the e46 and e90. I suggest you go drive one and own one before you make a statement like that
