Thank you for all the kind words.

As for the diff ratio question, the 330i auto actually has the best ratio but ive been qouted 7k just to change the ratio. Then add 16 to convert to LS i might as well pick the m3. yes 3.8 might be a bit short when pushing big power but at least it will make the M purists happy hahaha

At the moment it has no badge, maybe I should opt for the 320d badge hahaha.

What I've done up to date
Fixed the slave cylinder n the clutch as it was leaking.
Changed water bottle and some piping as it had no return to bottle so it had temperature issues.
Installed decent gauges on the centre console as I didn't like the previous setup.
Bypassed the clutch position sensor as it was faulty and I didn't like the whole pressing the clutch first idea anyway.

As for what is next on the list to do, I need to fit the following

Parts I have :
Powermod engine management system (currently running spitronics)
Turbonetics T78 turbo with q-trim wheel
Turbosmart Wastegate
Turbosmart dumpvalve
Turbosmart fuel pressure regulator
Turbosmart electronic high/low boost switch
FTF Fuel rail and hoses
Custom aluminium intake
6 X MSD ignition coils
2 X Bosch 044 fuel pumps
R154 gearbox
Aluminium flywheel
Tilton tripple plate clutch
Zeitronix wide band monitor ( for air/fuel ratio and EGT)

Parts I still need
6 X 1000cc injectors
Whichever route I'm going with the diff.

I will actually start fitting parts this weekend. : ).

Honestly I'm not too sure who built it originally. But who ever it was they really fitted the engine nicely and done the wiring properly.

ya i cant imagine that the job would be easy, its hard enough in simple cars, i.e box shape, e46, nissan s chassis etc
would also be interested to know if you say it has been done well,

this thread just give me grand out of my budget ideas....:fencelook:
1. buy e92 325i
2. drive it and enjoy it till the motor goes
3. 2jz gte conversion
4. drive it forever...

Well technically if I add the 330i badge it's not that far from being the truth hahaha.

I want the car to look as stock as possible. If I get a decent set of rims like the vossen cv3 I might consider it, but the idea is to keep it a sleeper.

So yesterday morning I started stripping the car. Took the front end off....so many things I have to replace as it's been damaged and neglected, fender liners, bumper brackets, headlight holders etc etc etc. That kinda killed my enthusiasm a bit.

Nonetheless I took the engine and gearbox out. Dummy fitted the new intake and turbo and all seems to fit really nicely.

Now I have to take out engine again. Clean the inside engine bay properly, run a few wires through for the Zeitronix,  clean and neaten a few things up.

When I'm done there I'll have to build proper boost pipes as the previous ones were really small. So atleast there is some progress made.

I finally managed to get a way to post some pictures.

Everything is still very dirty at the moment so please just excuse the pics. Like I said there is a lot of things i have to sort out now as i really want to build a beauty of note, starting with the engine bay, which is not the easiest thing in the world to do with a car that has a lot of safety and creature comfort features. Wires and plumbing for days :thumbdo:

But with some decent planning it can be done. At least the manifold, turbo, wastegate and intake fits so I'm of to a good start....
