:bawling: I feel youre pain bro, I feel your pain.
In 2001 I bought a 150 luxline honda ballade with AMG kit on.
that was on the tuesday, did the sound install the friday, then on the sunday...
:cursin: Damb delivery bakkie overtook another car on a solid line, took me out.
I tried to swerve, but he took off the whole righthand side of my car.
Had it 5 days and :censored: I was pissed.
Insurance fixed it, and I still drove it 3 years.
man us men really love our cars.

PS: I dont think BMW would appreciate the aerodinamic alterations you made to their design.

Who knows they might relook the e46 design to add the uprated bonnet design which helps kill your fuel consumption :nono:

Was so gutted to see the car when i got out man :bawling:

Aww crap man! i know how u feel ;/
Dnt worry think about the bright side, least ull now have a clean newly painted front end.No scratches stone holes etc Make sure you give it to a good panelbeater to have done!
Maybe you could do an Original clear indicator upgrade?
Could have been alot worst though those trucks are huge!

This is true, there were a few chips and what not,
would like black grills and an ///M3 bonnet :)

Garfield,

You will be ok with this dude, and you do not need to fight...

Launch a case with your insurance, get the dude to sign a statement admitting liability.

And thats it.. your done.

Take the car to your best panel beater, and have them start with the repairs, let your insurance company deal with getting the guy to pay and all of those goods things.

Im really sorry about the car man.. That sucks big time. Keep us up to date with the estimates :(

True, first thing i learnt from this mess, Get insured !

Luckily the guy seems very helpful from his side, so yeah I'm glad i won't be on the receiving side of these quotes,
I will definitely post the quotes up

Ouch, I think I saw your car on rondebuilt road a few days back. I though to myself that its the perfect candidate for a front-end facelift...

I agree! Dont go with the R14000, Even if the insurance insists do not go with that, get another quote from somewhere.
Thay will prob do a slap dash job ending up with an odd paint and uneven headlamps and bonnet!
The other two seem fine,Though look at the work those dealerships have completed and ask them how they paint there cars.Ask to view the process, u can see if theres dust or anything around and how clean and organized the workshop is.

I know you get what you pay for but its not always the case..

When we needed some repairs done, we took the car to a well known & approved place and they told us the cars a write off.. so got some quotes from different places. found a cheaper place (backyard panel beater type, owner run & owner working on the cars, proper spray booths etc so not completely back yard place) & he did a decent job even tough his price was half of what some of the other places quoted..

my brother in law took his car to the well known & approved place & got some work done, charged a fortune.. the car has been back 8 times for them to get it right...

The guy that quoted R14 000 showed me his personal vehicle after he was done inspecting mine

Paint over spray, paint flaking, pieces that were sprayed missed leaving the primer exposed  Not a good way to impress a possible client :hammerhead:

I was quite impressed with the one companies work though, the quality of work was very good, i know someone who had their bakkie repaired there and the results impressed me,

If my car gets sent there i just hope they can match Titanium Silver

Well you've done your part to get the quotes - hopefully whoever fixes your car (except the dodgy one with the flaking paint) will do a great job and restore your car to it's former glory! As mentioned before, don't be shy to inspect their facility and ask questions - at least then they will know that you aren't going to accept bad workmanship etc. Hope it goes well! :)

Glad to see you have your car back again, every time I see that body kit I find it very interesting, awesome looking car you have, good condition e46 328's are very rare.
