Indeed
View it on your cell phone.
Edit: because my FireFox is also just giving me the black box, and I had to test with my phone.

this is a very random idea but from the vid I dont have a clue otherwise.

The alternator is that side. With to do with that. Maybe something got in throught the air duct and is busy grinding up in the alternator cooling blades. I have once found a dead bird in the air duct box that leads to the alternator.

The sound is not right but maybe alternator bearings....?

You see now Alister... everything you just said about taking things personal, and offending others is EXACTLY what Herr-bmw was trying to say about my car... :mmm:

"...ill huff and ill puff, and i blow that honda right outta the driveway..."

coisman, didnt mean to offend you in any way,was actually mucking about, and the reason for that was when i first met my wife she had a citi golf and i had a beetle, when i gave the one a little bit of attention, the other one would give kak, sort out the other one then the the other one would give kak,and so on and so on.

what i know about bmw is what i learn from the forum,so actually thank every one for there input.

so sorry if i offended you in any way,was just trying to say that the bm was jealouse of the honda and was trying to blow it out of the driveway.

i always treat my cars like they are "alive''
hope you come right with the bmw

From the description, I thought it could've been from the pulley.

After the vid, I reckon it could be something in the front of the engine (ancillaries) or something within the engine - does sound like its resonating...

Hi guys,
So I took the car to the mechanic on saturday, and he told me it seems to be... I can't remember the name, but some type valve-thing with a bladder that gets old and tears, and this valve is located under the intake, and is extremely tricky to remove.
The part he said is about R450 at Goldwagen, and will take about 2 1/2 hours to strip and fit the new one. I will call him up later today and just get the name of whatever it is he said is the part.
He said I can drive the car, but it might develop a slight power-loss, so as soon as I got the $$$ I will most likely get it fixed. :)

Do You need some help to DIY this?

:pimp:
Frikkie, Jacques told me that its a really kak job and will take us 2 days... :mmm:
Anyway, I think I will give him a try to do it, and I will make sure to tell him, that if ANYTHING goes wrong, he will cover it!!

PS: Let me just find out and confirm what exactly he said it was, and then you can look it up in that "book" you've got with all the repair instructions. :thumb:
