It may be an Italian brand, but on the body of the pump it said "made in Germany". It looks like it had a composite impeller, as opposed to my old pump which had a metal. Impeller. From the appearance of the pump, it seemed to be of very good build quality. I was sceptical when I saw it was an Italian brand pump... But I trust the components supplied by Goldwagen...

Just read you whole thread, must say very nice car and like what you have done to it so far! :)
I am currently looking at buying one, just need to find the right one.
How is the running costs other than Fuel, general services and maintenance? I'm still a student, but completing my degree next year :)

Best bang for buck money can buy. If you're not afraid to get your hands dirty, perform services and conduct preventative maintenance, then the M54 engine-equipped E46 is an absolute star.

The real value proposition is bolstered by this forum. There is a wealth of knowledge available in countless threads here and there are many forum members who are unequivocal experts in the field of M54 E46 vehicles.

Update: Replaced fuel-filter

Need to replace tyres now, probably will do at the end of the month.

Any suggestions on good deals or some tyres that I should avoid (Beyond the obvious)?

Tyre size is 225/45/17

I put on Conti sport contact 5's on mine and I'm not too impressed to be honest... Back tends to come out under hard cornering with these tyres (it is fun though). When I am changing again, will consider something else, that is a little grippier.

These are definitely the best, however if it's "bang for buck", then I would consider the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3.
