ok, while i tried to capture whatever i could, in most cases the car was in decent condition and just the issues mentioned above that needed attention.
Started off with the basic wash and foam using advanced snow foam.
I then clayed the car and there wasnt much dirt on the car, but the overspray could be felt and the clay removed a fair amount of, possibly due to the car having been waxed prior to the painting.
First of my new toys was the Scholl S3 and I used this with my LCC Orange pad. I am not looking for 100% correction so even all swirls werent removed I was still happy.
Before of my bonnet which was painted and polished by the panel shop.
After one pass with the above combo.
My b pillars before didnt look that bad
After it looked way better
The boot before
after
The rest of the car had little signs of improvement and after trying many times to catch the difference on camera i gave up. I then got to finally use the fusso dark coat on my car after using it on my dads car as well as friends vehicles, but after about 9 months it found its way onto my car.
I then tried to clean up the headlight and taped it up and tackled one half first.
The before shot
the side that was polished showed a marked difference i think, not sure if i managed to catch on camera.
Since there was some overspray on my rims i decided it was time to give them good clean too. each wheel was removed, washed with Auto glym wheel cleaner and glossworx wheel and tyre cleaner with the respective brushes. My rims were given this treatment when i purchased them so it was a breeze to clean now
After a simple wash and hose down, mind the black spots on the out edge, i believe the previous owner ran the runflat ....flat as it feels like hardened rubber that i have to scrap off, this particular rim was almost comlpetely black on that lip when i got it, but regular cleaning has got it to where it is now.
I polished the front and back of the wheels with the scholl s3 as well using the machine on the bigger areas and the hand pad for the smaller areas. I love it when the inside/back of the rim has a shine.
I then proceeded to apply a layer of rim wax on the entire wheel and buffed off
And that concluded the work on the outside off the car, other new toys included the autofinesse interior kit which i was keen to try out.
The driver seat obviously had the most wear/dirt so i curious to see the difference here. Unfortunately due to lack of light i was forced to use the flash and the cleaned section looks shiny, but it actually isnt.
50/50 showing the oils and dirt removed using the hide cleanse.
another angle
The rest of the interior was not much to capture on camera, but a fair amount of dirt was removed. The leather conditioner was applied allowed to dry and buffed off. The plastics were cleaned using the total interior cleaner and also the Spritz interior detailer applied( love the smell of this).
The final after shots..., barely managed to get this inbetween the rains in centurion
The tailpiece was cleaned and polished with some sonax chrome polished and waxed with collonite 845.
Thanks for looking
