ja it does rule out all turbo BMWs..i love the 320i but decided against it & my dream..a //M..as i said ill probably end up building a E30 with an E36 //M motor & redo the bearings. (its scary that that man basically almost had to replace everything on a vehicle with under 100k on the clock but i do know those subs are pretty good though so not sure what happened.) i have experience with 6 cylinder NA's & its been positive. The Range Rover is no joke but i got it for a steal & bought to sell for a profit to fund future projects. It has been reliable though. Just old coolant pipes going. Great vehicle but will sell before anything goes..has 7 series electronics which isn't the best. Im not trying to be negative about BMWs ...i love the brand..but Ive got a family & i need to make good choices when it comes to buying cars & i can't have unreliable vehicles or vehicles where something is going to go every month...that being said its because i can't justify spending a certain amount on a vehicle if my nett worth isn't a certain amount & i don't have enough property so would have to buy at a certain age & out of motorplan. Obviously for the guys on the forum spending R700 000k etc. on new cars with motorplan its not an issue.
and i can't tell you how much i love a e92 //M ..i flipping love it! would actually rather have that & do the bearings than have a turbo BM.
