Must be the best model car around. Space, power, economy. ✔️
I mean.....I concur.

Very cool car. Have really really enjoyed it. Fun, really not bad for a stock turbo-diesel in any way! Fuel consumption is unbelievably good 🥳

Couple small updates to write about...

Love the car and I really don't think it is sluggish whatsoever, but as boys will be boys, the prep for software has begun. Good starting point was XHP. Think this is often overlooked/neglected by many. As the Auditor lifestyle has groomed me, everything needs evidence and so we got on doing a few 1/4 runs [slow] before flashing, and then did the same afterwards to see a difference [still slow, but less slow] :D Improvement was around 0.3 seconds on the same stretch of road. I was rather impressed with this - considering it is not a 'performance' mod persay.

XHP feedback:
I opted for Stage 3 flash. Actual flash took maybe 1 whole minute to do. Super quick.
Comfort [which i do a lot of driving in] is still super comfy and pleasant.
Sport & Sport+ is lightning fast and the delay between paddles and shifts is almost not noticeable.
Having "D1...8" shown on the instrument cluster is SO nice. Sounds silly, but it is really great!
I have no negatives to report back and definitely do not regret doing it.

To match the now 'updated' gearbox, I spoke to a weird bra called @FiRi@Rennzport . He assisted with sourcing some blue paddle shift extenders to match the blue strip inside and got them to me almost instantly. Awesome service and what a nice guy. He knows I'll be wasting more money with him in time to come.

Pics attached.

Paint update:

I have always been meticulous about cleaning and washing etc. I do not take my car to a car wash - I quite enjoy washing myself.

I have been doing a lot of research and discussing with various forum members and think i have a nice process now. I did a clay-bar + polish + wax not too long ago, and the paint feels awesome. I have been using Turtle Wax shampoo & have been introduce to the Autoglym PolarSeal which is super cool. Alas - see few pictures below. The reflections are unedited and 100% original. Keep in mind this is Alpine White paint :)

Odds and ends:

Front brake pads were tired [sensor indicating 1500km apparently], and in serious need of a change. I replaced them with Hella Pagid [OE].
Random pic parked [rather skew] with a rather fast M140i that is currently getting even quicker!

Appreciate it. I always liked the 'look' of the extenders, but the feel is genuinely better. It's a larger surface and just feels sportier and more engaging. Definitely worth it to enhance the 'driving experience'.

those extensions look great!
what was the price of the xhp software, im keen on doing it in the future

Price can fluctuate a little bit based on exchange rate. Map pack for 8-speed is $183 currently as per their site. Tuner will then factor in their cost for the map license etc. Budget anywhere from 3k-4k I'd say. Lots of custom features to play with - so really nice once car is tuned and there is alllllll the torque to play with.

Nice job on the mods!! Xhp is frome what i heard a great mod
Thank you. Yeah - seems most people neglect it as its 'expensive' for not a mod persay, but there definitely is a difference [tested] in stock, and once SW is done, I am really keen to play around with the functionality and see how we can optimise it even more!
