How's guys, just have a few Qs on my 330i:
1) I'm missing chrome tip on the exhaust, so I wanted to replace both with some nice looking tailpipes cos BMW wants over a R1000 for it. My problem is that I noticed the inner pipe has a flap in it, so what would happen to the exhaust toneif the end wa cut off?

2) I have the small round fogs on mine, I know the sportspack and Individual fogs are larger and easy to come out and have 9006 HB4 globes, I want to change my bulbs. How do u remove the fog and does it also take HB4 bulbs?

3) Lastly, to 330 owners, I just replaced my expansion tank, how often do u need to top up water?

Thanks guys!!!

1) My flap stays open all the time! Deeper exhaust note:thumbs:
2) I have the Mtech II bumpers, so don't know.
3) Almost never. Only when you have worked on the cooling system.

If you need to remove the flap, make sure that you close off the vacuum pipe that connects at the top. The car sounds better without it anyway.

Ok, but how full must the expansion be and where must the stick be ?

If you look at this picture, you'll see the bottom ball on the stick. That should be level with the top of the opening of the expansion tank. Hope this makes sense.

so the bottle must be full to the top in order for the bottom ball to be at the top of the bottle, right ?

Nope, you fill the bottle until the level indicator is pushed out the same amount as in the picture.

Please guys, can someone please explain how to take out the fog globe from the Exclusive bumper, ie. From the small fogs

Easy - jack up car remove wheel, remove the 4 8mm bolts and 1 plastic rivet. Remove the 2 bottom fender to bumper bolts as well. Pull inner fender liner away from its position inwards towards the brakes. You'll see the see the spot.

The Mtech II is a lot easier.
Remove plastic cover.
Remove one 8mm bolt
and the fog lamp is out - whala!

Thanks man, that was what I was afraid of. I previously changed them on the the Sportspack and Individual bumpers was is much simpler as it pops out from the front.

According to the owners manual, it states the fogs take HB4 9006 bulbs, I know for certain that the Sportspack and Individual takes that, but need to confirm on the Exclusive, before the mission of removing the bulb only to realise I bought the wrong bulb:thumbdo:
