What an EPIC run!!

Just the usual, nothing better to do than harass innocent motorists parked off at a garage socialising rather than dealing with actual criminals....:argh:
Must say they were consistent though, we had cops at all 3 garages we stopped at....probably getting their supply of donuts...:rollsmile:

Sorry I had to leave at the Oasis gents, my vrou was in a jam last night, had to take her to the hospital. I just came back from there now. Dr said she'll be discharged later in the afternoon.

Man, I loved every minute of it, pushing my supercharger to the limit.
Only running 0.4 boost, no exhaust, or intercooler, I really got to see what this thing can do.

kobus,really impressed with your e30,on the one stretch,i had to push it in 5th and then i was level with you,only after i went to 6th then i slowly(captain slow style)started to get ahead,for a car of that age to run a 2008 e90 323iraise:
the cops were doing there jobs at all garages,bar the bp as they went about it in the wrong way,surprized they didnt have chopper,riot squad and snippers on the roof. :roflol: again thanks cois :thumbs:
guys i got 1 question,when i eventually got onto the r21,i saw a car pulling into the yellow lines,thought it was a fanatic,but realised it was a scooby sti,did you guys scare him or something that he pulled off? :biglol:

We all pulled into the BP Garage on the N1 somewhere, where the lead car of the group decided to pull in...
...anyway... so there was a Police Toyota Quantum at the garage shop, and one of the forum guys, (you know who you are) reved his car ONCE.
Now we all park, get out, start to social again a bit, to get to know the members we dont know yet, a little better, all while Sankekur and some other members are taking pics of the cars. So this Quantum pulls around the corner, and just sits there in between where we parked. :thinking:
Next moment another Police Ford bakkie comes up, also parks, the cops jump out and run towards the Quantum, so now I tell some of the guys that I am going to speak to the cops, and just explain to them who we are, and why we are there, before one of them gets a "Rambo" mentality and decides to give us all shit for no reason.... well... TOO F_CKING LATE!!! :facepalm:
I get to the Quantum, introduce myself as Inspector Coetsee from Metro Police, and that we are part of the bmw fanatics, and we are.... BUT before I can complete my sentence, this cop tunes me: "Get in your cars, get on the N1 north, and F_ck-off out of my juristiction!!" :dropjaw:
Now this is where I EMEDIATLY lose my cool because he is blatantly disrespecting me, so I tell him: "Well, sorry for you, but this is a public area, and we are allowed to be here, and you cant force us to leave!" So he looks at me and tunes me: "Listen, who do you guys think you are, driving around at this time of night? Stick out your hands!!"
:thinking: so now I am wondering why he is asking this, but I think to myself, ok, maybe he wants to see if he is getting on my nerves and if I am shaking in my boots, so I stick out my hands and he tunes me: "Are you maried?" ... WTF??? :bangdesk: I say yes, why? and he asks me: " Where is your wife??" ...again, WTF??? So I say: "At home, in bed, should I call her so you can speak to her and ask her about me being here??"
At this time the driver of the Quantum leans over and tells me: "Listen, dnt get cocky OK! You guys are here to make K@k!" So I kindly reply: "And you guys are harassing us!" ...and I walked away...
So about 5 minutes later, another 2 cop cars show up, one of them an Audi S3, and they climb out, speak to the "Bliksem" that tuned me to F_ck-off, and this main mack driving the Audi calls me to one side. Here he starts telling me that we have NO right to be there, and who do we think we are?, and every time I try to answer him, he tells me: "Hang on sir, you will have your turn to speak, ok!" and then he carries on telling me about how he contacted JHB Metro and they have no paperwork on us being there.
So he FINALLY gives me a chance to start speaking, but as soon as I tell him, we are from bmw fanatics, and we are not there to cause k@k, we are simply a group of guys, that LOVES our cars, that is taking a drive, and stopping every now and then to chat and take photos... but he interupts me, so I tune him: "Listen, you shut up now, cause you said I will have my turn to speak and now you interrupting me, so please keep quiet and let me speak!" ... so he shuts up, and I continue to explain the reason for us being there.
I also tell him that I DONT apreciate his colluege telling me to take the N1 and f_ck-off, cause this IS public grounds, we are NOT drinking in public, NOT smoking dagga, NOT causing a public disturbance, so what the HELL are they on about?!?!? :argh:
So he tells me, that I mustn't make alligations, he never said we were doing those things, and he has 2 housebreaking calls outstanding, and now he must come and sort out this shit that we are causing! I ask him what shit? we are pieceful, not racing, :mmm: and he must rather go and do his complaints instead of giving us grief!!
At this stage even new forum member Stephen, stepped in, clearly seing I am losing my cool, and tells me, calm down, let them go and do their work, and then we all can also get in our cars and go. So the cop looks at his SAPS Audi S3, and tells me: "You know, not one of these cars will outrun me, so dont even try!" ...AGAIN... WTF?????? So I just look him in the eyes, smurk, grunt, smile, and laugh.
Well, after that, I did the right thing, and invited them to join us on the 18th at Kyalami, and they can even come in the Audi if they like, but they must SERIOUSLY stop harassing us now, and go and catch real criminals! And go leave us alone! So the @sshole in the Quantum tunes me: "I will come back dude... I will come back!!!"
After that, we fanatics got in our rides and left, enjoying our cars the way they were intended to be enjoyed! :thumbs:

Hi guys, thanks to HerrBMW for the initiative. The turnout was awesome and I had great fun and some chats with the fellow fanatics! The run was safe and the guys surely showed us some driving skills on the road. Pity about the saps guys though...:thumbdo: At least my oiler could run with some of the cars out there last night. Am looking forward to the next one!
