M6 v10 performance datalog

Exhaust and branches have been fitted.Car now sounds loud and proud.The sound strangely is now a more V8 than V10 sound.Here is an image of the branch taken off.The middle runner is tiny and pressed so flat you wonder how the car was able to breathe.Weight saving 10kg.

Are these branches locally made? How equal are the lengths and how do they compare to Evolve and Supersprint versions? Pricing? Some of the aftermarket branches still give good low down torque
I had my cats removed by OB on Vee Ten GP and took some silencing material out of the exhaust system to keep the standard appearance when in for service. Picked up good power and a superb exhaust sound.
Will be interesting to compare results for the branches and cat removal to just the decat version.
If power and torque are up then I'm also in the market for one. Looking forward to your dyno results as well as the improved acceleration figures.

They will give you more power at the top and improve the midrange over the decatted stock branches. If you go to TNt ask jnr for the same spec used on the white M6 he did for Cleo. They have done a lot of development work with Chip Logic and the exhausts have come a long way, the car past the 500whp mark at the coast. I drove Cleo's M5 up here for a while and it's amazing how the midrange improves.

Went to track this morning.The figures and the car are awesome.Definitely money well spent.We just have to get used to the fact that the car sounds more like a v8 then v10.
STANDARD M6..................M6 BRANCHES AND EXHAUST

1/4 mile.......13.17.......175km/h.............13.7..........186km/h
1km.............23.47.......231km/h.............23.1..........240km/h
800mts........20.27.......216km/h.............19.9..........230km/h
100-200......11.2sec...............................8.7secs
100-240......19.67sec............................16.8secs
100-180......8.4sec.................................6.4secs
0-100km/h..5.27sec...............................6.2secs
5-100km/h..4.7sec.................................4.4secs
0-200km/h..16.57sec.............................15.1secs
60ft.............2.47sec...............................4.2secs

Traction is now a big issue.Look at the 60ft time and the car still posted a 13.7.If i take the difference in 60ft from std car to now and deduct it shows that with traction this car wii do 11.9secs on the 1/4mile.
Based on the formula i use to go up from 231 to 240km/h on the km the additional power will be in the region of 40kw. :thumbs:

Next software and induction.

Job already done.See datalog specs.

Very impressive, my initial thought was.., WTF, so much slower on the 1/4 and 0-100.... but the 0-60ft made it clear.

What is the plan WRT traction? Is there loss of traction with all aids on?

This car is being modded with one thing in mind.Topspeed 330km/h.The M5v10 he had went dead at 316km/h revs 7600rpm top gear.The m5 only had software and i think having seen the standard branches that was an area of concern.
Yes will not be winning any prizes on takeoff but glad to see people can analyse the performance log. :thumbs:
This car will definitely need slick tyres to post decent times on the 1/4 mile.

One helluva goal, but no better car to do it with. Any chance of videos of the exhaust.

I am unfortunately inexperienced in exhausts and thus need to hear the V10 sound more like a V8 :rollsmile::rollsmile:

DXmS in the UK claim 205mph or 328kph with only an ecu tune so no problem to run 330 kph with limiter deactivated. Tyre rating is an issue as I spoke to several premium tyre manufacturers and none were comfortable with the car t 320kph. Only Continental would offer some specials designed to handle 360 kph

Should have been DMS in last thread

After seeing the picture of the OEM branches...I can see why the TNT branches would give some extra horses and most probably better power delivery through the rev range.

Just listened to the sound clip....It really does sound like a V8 haha
Any idea how you would get that epic V10 sound back? :=):

You need this sound in your life
[video=youtube]

This one is bored out to a 5.8L - but just hear that awesome sound
[video=youtube]

Same one doing 340km/h
[video=youtube]

But anyway....well done on the mods thus far & I hope you reach your goal :thumbs:

I wish I had the balls to buy an ///V10.

Car has been fitted with brand new Kumho's that are rated 300km/h for 10minutes.Estimate is only 30seconds needed, after that no more track anyway.
