M3 vs 335i?

A guy driving a supra that's proud of a e46 m3 says alot. Supras really kill supercarsraise: good topic guys! Always good fun talking about the m vs 335's:rollsmile:

Yes but you must remember my Supra is not a "supercar killer" ...Mine is still stockish (with only Short Ram intake + exhaust)...
Soon if I get my ride sorted...I'll put her to the strip and dyno.

But yes...doing a single turbo conversion and some software I'm sure I'll give these supercars some run for there money. If...and I say again...if my car doesn't rattle and fall apart haha!!!! Going 240km/h+ is a bit scary. Built quality is just not the same when doing that kind of speeds...


We saw some drooling 135's and 335's at Cedar Isle BMW! Beast machines! Unfortunately I cannot afford it. So it's 320D for me!

Not bad twinz, but the underground stuffs in a different league. Those 2 make close to the same horsepower. And the outcome was predictable. Anyway. Looks like the e46 m3 is a very hated car by those that don't own one? I don't know:blab:

I was only questioning the races posted by Crash...thats it. And car ownership has got nothing to do with it.

Guys, we're missing the point here. The ///M cars are in a different league. It's not all about straight line speed with an ///M car, but the whole package that makes it special. Does it really matter that the M3 is quicker/slower than a 335i? :thinking: No, it doesn't. The ///M has that special sauce, that is only reserved for an ///M car.

this argument is getting tired. x35i are way more than just straight line speed. remember when you say whole package to take price into the equation and then determine if the package is still THAT much better.

my 135i does everything better than an m3 except go around a track faster, yet it is half the price.

would i take an m3 over my 135i, no. because like twinz, i like turbo cars and the m3 doesnt thrill me as much.

have i driven an m3? yes e46 and e92

does that mean i hate the m3? never! its beautiful piece of engineering but its not for me. i would take it over most cars, but not over an x35i. so i will continue to argue the point that the x35i is the better package.

does that make me right? no, its just my opinion, and like everyone else, i am entitled to one.
