M3 s50b30 with a severe dose of "mechanic abuse"

A1exander.....
I've put the Bilsteins in, huge difference with just that. Car corners and handles so much better, about to do the Eibach Pro kit, should be done on my M3 by Wednesday / Saturday latest before fender rolling and nose spray on Monday. I can offer you drive her now, and then again after Eibach Pro kit before dropping $$$ on ACS kit ? Ride with Bilsteins alone is not hard, hoping the springs don't stiffen her up too much but want to close the fender gap a tad.

While you at it, might as well upgrade discs and pads ?

Consider using an E46 alternator. I replaced my E46 Valeo alternator at some point with a new Bosch unit and had the Valeo unit lying in the garage. When the E36 M3 alternator (also Valeo)starting showing signs of problems I pulled that out and found it to be a 90A rating in comparison to the E46 at 120A. So I had the 120A Valeo unit reconditioned and put that into the M3. Its a direct fit  So now I have a spare Valeo 90A alternator lying around :fencelook:

I just ordered knock sensors from a UK based supplier at R815 each (excl shipping) versus R1650 each from local dealers. Shipping will be around R300. The only down side is the 2 odd week wait for the sensors.

Prev the car was fitted with an 80A alternator and should have a 105A.

We are looking for one that is rated over 105A.

Peter don't be stingy with the updates

:roflol:

I spent the day fixing the harness so will post new pics in the morning when I place it in the car.

I also have Nita2 in my driveway this afternoon for a few things so was somewhat distracted from this build......Cris's bad :)

Good work. Can't wait to see the finished product.

When refitting the throttle body to the head do you have to realign the co2's with the throttle body butterflies?

So... I saw this car today and man, it's like night and day. Saw here when she arrived two weeks ago and boy was she in a bad state. That engine bay was like a really bad crime scene. I tell you, the car is coming together and is looking really neat.

If anyone has doubts about taking their car to Peter to be sorted out, you need have your brain scanned...
