No way Ashlin
They are special inserts made by wurth in aluminium and one needs special tools to insert them.
One also needs to countersink the hole with a special tool for the insert to seat itself properly.
The man charges R200 per insert up to 8mm and R400 for bigger sizes to 12mm.....

I shall finish tidying up a few issues and it will then go to Gizmo to have the clutch and rear main oil seal checked out.
444YYY was kind enough to read codes for us as our INPA does not speak 1994 ZA build M3s and we found 11 faults.
3 of them crucial enough to stop the car from performing like a 325 let alone an M3.
Below a few pics of what was found.
The tensioner pulley....well what remains of the tensioner pulley

Wrong fan blade
![]()
Wrong bolts on the water pump pulley which will lead to complications as a 32 spanner is not made that thin as to fit in the diminished space.
We will likely have to grind the heads so as to fit it in to release the viscous

Note how the bottom radiator hose has swelled and how the incorrect serpentine belt is being used "being a 5 rib belt instead of the normal 6 rib"
Leaking PS hoses.

Basically why pay premium for a car off MP?
Yeah so is the ACS tuning of the suspension really that much better than the ones who manufacture the stuff ?a1exander said:DieselFan said:May I ask why ACS? Afaik ACS springs are manufactured by eibach. Haven't a clue about their shocks but they probably don't make them either?

Bilstein shocks and eibach springs tuned to Schnitzer specs and stamped ACS
