M2 or M235i

XDrive internationally is because of winter months where snow is a huge issue, we don't get XDrive models because we don't experience snow as bad as they do. It's by no means implemented to improve times. Hence the ///M cars don't have an XDrive option... X5///M, X6///M may be the only ///M cars to offer XDrive.

///MPower FTW!!! Torque FTW!!!

The waiting is killing me and the longer the wait , the further the rand plumits :(

I too do not see XDrive an option on full m cars yet but not that long ago BMW said they would never build front wheel drive cars ... take the 2 series active tourer thing as an example.

making economical cars is killing cars lol..weight is everything coupled with an economical engine. so quality goes.

///M has always had more of a focus on reducing weight vs both AMG and Audi RS.

Adding X-Drive will add weight and fuel consumption whilst not adding much to the driving experience of ///M cars (sans snow I guess)

I was dead set on getting the M235i in October but then decided to wait and see what the M2 looks like..... At the time I told myself to put the R650k I had budgeted into the Nedbank USD-ZAR exchange traded note to hedge against Rand depreciation.

Needless to say I didn't do it.... that would have been worth R798k (before fees and taxes) today

I had the same idea. I have budgeted R500 000 for the m235i with a trade in on my vehicle. I had yhe quote and trade in valuation and then decided to drop everything for the M2 because it would be just a bit more cash which would be fine but it's now taking very long and I am fearing the worst because 900000 to a mil is not possible with cash but then again I could finance it

Base price will be 800-850k, should of been 750-800 but i think the rand value had a bit to do with it. M235i gonna increase now aswell to around 600-630k.

Spoke to a dealer recently and he said the new price for m235i will be around 620 -630 maybe he meant the auto with a few options, just checked price on website its still 570k. he went onto say that the m2 will be about 200k more than the m235i, he cant seeing it being lower than that. he did say there is no official allocation or pricing though.
So truth be told no one knows.That begs the question when are we gonna get the official pricing and allocation? maybe we last on the list lol

if its priced above 850, i think im gonna rather buy a used M3. there was a beautiful 2015 sakhir orange m3 5000km manual on the autotrader for 869k, called for it on tuesday morning, tuesday afternoon it was sold.

oh so there is an increase for m235i, ya dealer said 610-630 somewhere around there
