This thing looks insane. I'm just scared to think what the price will be in SA. Since it's limited run I think pricing will be absolutely rediculous.

I think the price will be in the region of 1.4 to 1. 5 mil. For that kinda money I'd personally take a Cayman Gt4 any day of the week.

Wonder if this might turn out to become another kind of "investment" car such as the 1M. That might appreciate over time.
Definitely not the smartest investment, but if you can manage to sell after a few years for a small profit and have one kick-ass machine to drive in the interim... seems not to be that bad.

This is not a 'leak'... it is getting tiring seeing press release after press release treated as a 'leak'. Leaks are like the M3 spy shots from the factory (even that is questionable).

R1.65-1.7M according to 2 dealers... taking R100K deposits. May not guarantee a spot. 25 to 30 coming to SA. Nobody is sure of allocations.

You still need to pay R110K for Carbon Ceramics on top of this...
Adaptive suspension also likely an option.

Will it be an investment? Probably won't depreciate much if at all IMHO. However the price it is coming in at means it probably won't improve much in value.

Unless BMW decides to do one last CSL model... or 'final edition'... or GTS... Not sure how the GTS owners are doing... or Championship/Competition Edition owners but doesn't look like they have shifted many of the M3/4 CS models which were limited. The price point is just too close to cars like entry level Ferraris still on plan or eg: Porsche GT4 which has so much stuff from the GT3 RS.

If it was 1.35 to 1.4M I think it would be a no-brainer. 350K more than a kitted out M2 Competition for a limited edition and all the carbon bits (which don't cost nearly as much to fit at factory vs. buying a car with panels that must be tossed and then retrofitting the carbon panels - and which surprisingly don't seem to have affected the weight much), a bit more power and cooling (which doesn't cost BMW even R30K to add...) - you could have still made a case for it. The price of an E92 M3 + E60 M5 more than a brand new M2 competition? I dunno...

If you want an M2, I'd order the competition and be done with it, even though they have still not 'unlocked' the ability to order adaptive suspension even though it is on the M2 CS.

Anyway this is probably going to be your 4th or 5th car in your garage or in a collection. I doubt you will see these out and about except for maybe one or two fanatics who get them.

At that money you can have a well spec'd Cayman GT4, where you know the value won't decrease rapidly at all.

Sigh, one can dream :(

No ways lol. 1.7 mil?? Doesn't matter how limited production of this car is. Like Llew said, a standard M2 comp will be more than good enough.

Otherwise a Cayman Gt4 or a Carrera S for me thanks. Those are much more purpose built sports cars for the money.

It will definitely sell... Zambesi had 15+ names already submitted alone let alone the other dealers. There are only 25-30 cars. I have no doubt this factored into how it is going to be priced.

Stunner, but price is stratospheric. They're definitely taking into account future appreciation of the car but that's what the buyer is paying for. At that price point, I agree, there are better cars that can outperform and hold value better it. Besides, the 0 to 100km/h acceleration of 3.8sec is what a stock RS3 will give you, any day of the week and in any condition. Yeah, the CS will, as usual these days, be understated, so will probably push out 3.5sec times. New M5 competition is doing 3.2sec (some even reported 3 sec), and you could buy that at the price point. On the bright side, this car will help bring down the value of other cars such as the M2 Competition, which I love, so I'm all for the crazy high price haha

So its 95000-100000 Euros in Europe. Expect it to be more than 1.7M at this rate once our 'market dynamics' are applied... or for many to make their way to the UK new if it comes in lower.

While this maybe a limited edition I am sure these will not go up in value, if anything they will lose(not a lot) value. The new cayman Gt4 is pricing from 1350k which many have said will make for a better drive. The cayman will lose value as well look at the 981 gt4 the higher mileage examples can be had for a bar. Porsche controls their market very well giving buyers the impression their cars hold their value, I can tell you from personal experience only the higher end rs models and super limited cars do that. In fact Maserati bought my Porsche outright for a better price then Porsche themselves where offering. It all comes down to what you like to spend your dosh on.
