Hi All,

I just want your opinion on the above kit. The BMW dealers quoted me close to 15K for parts ONLY . and Midas has this kit for R5k. Thats a 3rd of the price. Is the LUK any good? please let me know.

I also need a left wishbonefor my vehicle as BMW says the wishbone is bent. Where can I get a good quality replacement? BMW quoted me R1243 for the part.

Thanks

LuK clutch is the OEM for e36. My friends father is great friends with one of the top brass of LuK Clutches SA.
But what is your car, all I can pick up is that is an individual of some sorts... What is it?

I think it is as they did mention front control arm.

I called tunetech for the service and repair:

They quoted me the following:
1. Major Service - R2800 ex Vat (parts and labour)
2. Clutch and flywheel- R5700 ex Vat (parts and labour)

Does this sound about right? A lot of guys recommend TuneTech on this forum

LUK, Sachs are all top notch!

I also think R5K is a bit much. A complete kit for one of my 4 ton trucks, Sachs, cost FAR less than that. Shop around some more.

Just a for a clutch kit, yes, but remember it's R5k for more than just the kit...
2. Clutch and flywheel- R5700 ex Vat (parts and labour)

I find the Sachs has a better feel.
Had LUK before, no problems at all.
Just make sure your mech does a good job fitting it.

You can get the lower control arms from Imcomex in Centurion. Their prices are reasonable and they sell Meyle HD.
