LSD for e36 325

Howsit guys ,
I have an e36 325 and let's just say it gets quite embarrassing leaving one line every time you smoke up the place .
so i was looking to fit a LSD in and go with a 3.46 diff ratio coz on a previous thread a guy advised me on that to get off the line quicker. The thing is I have a short shift ZF gearbox and I'm already revving aroind 3500 rpm to keep 120 km/h.

So any suggestions on LSD ? Because I really don't know how to go about doing it .. someone told me I need to take out my current diff and give it to a diff shop to get a LSD built to spec . Is this true ? Or are there ready made LSDs that I could possibly just order ? Could u guys please advise me on this as well as the costs and accompanying mods I may have to do ?
Also, what about a second hand LSD from an e36 m3 ? Thoughts on that ?

Your advice will really be appreciated .

Finding a M3 LSD is another thing and I don't think you will get a LSD for anything less than 4k.

Good luck in searching for the hens teeth bud.

Also u should have a 188 case on your car so you'd need to find one like that. If I'm not mistaken the m3's had the bigger 210 case.

Or atleast the late E36's

If you're at 3500RPM in 5th then you've already got a 3.45 diff, which came in the 318i/320i manual's if I'm not mistaken. If you get an M3 LSD your acceleration will drop, and you'll do 3200 at 120. If you want to keep your diff ratio where it is you'll need to swap internals with an E30 LSD, otherwise an M3 3.0 LSD is a straight swap and drops ratio to 3.15, and if you're in Cape Town you better get in the queue. :) The 3.2L M3 has a bigger diff casing which is a more difficult swap where-in you'll need to match prop-shafts, side-shafts, etc.

Thanks guys. So you say i should possibly get a LSD made to match my current diff ?

Also i had a problem with my air flow meter, diagnostics told me so. Got a brand new air flow from Diesel Electric today so its the genuine Bosch product that comes with the car. I installed the new air flow however the cars idle is still loopy like how it was when the air flow was broken.
does the car need to be tuned up or anything so my idle will come back to normal like how it was ?
