Regarding that "100 octane" required by map 7, that is American 100 octane (probably closer to 105-110 for us)

Shot Dave get that, this is the info I looked at. The Lab confirmed 102.7 on 40l of NF..

Not sure what this would now equate to in US RON? Any ideas?

Thanks for the advice much appreciated. Look I did buy the car for this and this is after all just testing as I have mentioned 100 times.
The Guys from NF say a bottle of Ultra should give at least 100RON per tank. I used a bottle on 40L which should give me the 100oct demanded by map 7. N54Tech has many and many guys running map7 on 100oct. So what you are saying NF is obviously making false claims that could damage my engine.

NF is not making false claims, their product does work, the problem is when you mix NF with crappy pump fuel, our so called 95octane pump will test much lower than that value, further our 95 octane available locally vs that avail in the states is much different. thiers is much more stronger.

remember the nf bottle says to achieve a 10point increase in octane you need to mix a bottle with 20lt of pump.

Most of us JB4 users are familiar with the log meanings and their definitions. you should try reading it and interpreting your own logs.

I know how to read my logs, I also don't asses a car on a snippet of a log that was used to prove a point.....I sit at 0.7 and 13 during my pulls and boost 17PSI..AND I LOVE IT!:joy:

You do actually realize that most don't really care about your dyno figures anymore due to your poor attitude?

You reply to Kish with a clever comment, a fanatic who took a lot of his time to try and help you and write a long explanation on the issues you were experiencing which you weren't actually aware of, and you display a lack of maturity which everybody has now seen.

Anyway, carry on :bravo:

Decent figures, well done.

What is your goal?

Btw your 20psi boost was a boost spike as a result of the throttle closing. But i'm sure you picked that up.
As a few people have said before, your timing is terrible on those logs. Get some decent fuel. Turbos are prob at their limit at you current 18psi. Any more than that and they'll last less than 6 months and turn into smoke machines. Ask me how I know.

Good luck.

Thanks, well the aim is 400whp, That's with a fuel mixture though. We still have to do the intercooler and lpfp. I know the turbo's wont last forever running that boost (btw they wont last forever running 15PSI either despite what some may think). But I can afford to do RB's if these start acting up. I know those logs are terrible (They where used to prove a point!). The car was pushed hard the entire night and that was the last pull. She was sooooooooo hot. If anybody wants my logs just PM me your e-mail and I can pop them through. I know guys care about 135's and don't want to see blown engines but my tuner knows what he is doing and my logs get reviewed by Terry and the boys at BMS too. They want to see me achieve my goals while not killing my car as some have done. As anybody can see from those power curves my car is a very very healthy boy..

If anyone here has a problem, please take it up OFF the forum or at least via PM so as not to derail this thread. If it has to be cleaned up once more, it'll be closed and moved because there are more posts in here about the attitude of members and keyboard warrior comments than the actual build itself.

Enough is enough. You're all grown men. Act like it.

A lot of good advice offered on this thread which can change the angle of the learning curve. The secret with the X35 is that sometimes more is less.

Sleeper good to see you back.

I am not sure why everyone is concerned about the stock snails. The OP seems to know the risks. Let him enjoy it and when they go pow, we then sit back and enjoy the RB Turbos build thread.

The simply reason is that many of us have been in the position before and while we are acknowledged the risks upfront, it the issues start to happen i.e. the stock turbo's go, there are a number of things to consider like, the car is not very drive-able then, getting a set of RHD RB's could take anything for 1-3 months and the list goes on.
