Skiet. You can also limit it on map 5. But remember to hit the save button other wise it will revert to default.
Try 9psi in first gear and 13psi in second. Same as mine.

Thx Twinz, thought it only worked on map6, but I see what to do now..

Its bad that on the normal road my car has almost no wheelspin... But at Tarlton its a different story..

New Map 5 is very strong. Tried it 20L 98 Race Fuel mixed with NF. Seeing 16.5 psi with only DCI. JB4 loves octane!!! Enjoyed it so much that i finished the fuel before doing any logs!!! Fitting DP on Friday, will see what happens then.

Fuel is the name of the game. Richard when you have time...please try 95 pump fuel and NF race concentrate on map 5...its about R230 per bottle and treats 40 Liters to get the 95Ron up to 101Ron.

I think you will get better or the same gains but you will pay less. The new map 5 was developed for the special mixed fuels...Please try. It works so well on my car and I want to know if it does the same at altitude.

Hi all, please help if you can urgently...I reset my octane, throttle and o2 sensor while the car was running.

Now everytime i start the car it idles between 1000 and 2000rpm with the engine light coming on.

I reset it with the car off then it drives fine, as soon as i switch car of and back on, the engine light comes on again and idles between 1000 and 2000rpm..

Try map 0. Stock map see if it does the same.

Eish skiet. Why did you reset anything? That is the dangerous part of diagnostics which is best not tempered with.

Anyway, you have to upload the interface software again from scratch. Then re-upload the latest firmware again from scratch. And put the car on map 5.

In future avoid the diagnosic part of the JB4. No need for diagnostics...just datalogging. Your logs were fine the last time - More octane and you good to go.

in order to install the usb cable do you have to follow these instructions?

http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6557

In other words, does the entire DME need to be removed?

Need to get some logs done, because something not right with my JB4. Had CEL the other day driving on map 0 stock. Power dropped completely and now have a 30FF error (boost error) along with 30EE and 30ED (which look like knocking errors). Not sure if DCI has anything to do with it. Terry seems to think a botched install

Might have another look at it this weekend. Not really in the mood to undo everything at the moment.:cry:

Car is punished and can sleep in the garage until the weekend. I am off to bed

Josh just call me tomorrow and we can go through the steps. The jb4 also needs to be configured for the 135. Very easy. Dont worry now about the usb cable, we need to get the install right and the jb configured.

I have never ever had any codes thankfully...Josh it does sound like a botched install, retrace your steps and you should find the problem fairly easily..

Also try the tip I gave earlier in the thread about the cable install. It's so much easier then going through the glove box

Check map sensors are properly in after Dci install also look that your stock charge pipe has air going through mine went soft an was closing up an I don't have sw so jb4 gonna be worse.

Are you on the latest map 5 software? Try to get hold of NF race concentrate. I know Powerflow stocks them.

6/10 Firmware (N54):

1) Added SES flash system for run lean and over boost safety systems. SES will flash twice during a run lean safety and four times during an over boost safety.
2) Improved lower RPM boost targeting at higher boost targets.

Guys when you have time please update your firmare to the latest 6/10 which you will find at the bottom of the first post. You will immediately feel the difference in improved power between 1500 - 2500 rpms on Map 5. But the biggest safety feature is the SES flash system. For those running big mods and power this feature is an essential pre-warning system.
