Glad you sorted.

WARNING:
Just a general message: always be very circumspect of buying (used) jb4 tunes off the forum or from whoever no matter what the seller tells you. Check the tune thorougly before installing.

Open the black box & check for youself if its iso or integrated (dont believe the seller as a matter of course).

Once you happy that the used product appears safe to use...then update the latest and correct firmware. Read up as much about the tune and the various maps. Start off on map 5 or the lowest possible map. If all good and no error codes then run your first log. That will give you a good baseline. Dont run off to the dyno. LOG - if your car is healthy then consider a dyno run.

also don't think you smarter than a jb and use a custom map 6 :roflol:

stick with the basic maps and it pre set algorithms or alternatively take advantage of the self learning maps. those are much safer and will always make more power that your custom map 6 :coolShake:

On my M135. My ff waste gate adaption seems to decrease to about 5 or 8. Car under boosts and is steady at 15 psi when target is close to 18. So it is just a simple underbooost. If I reset it to 30. It goes back to 18psi. But after 100km it is back to 5-8. What would the cause be for this?

Hi Guys, does anyone have a quick guide to JB4 installation on an E82 N55 DCT?.

I'm having some issues with the RHD extension cable for JB4.

Thanks

Thanks, how do I connect the extension harness to the jb unit
Assuming you mean the RHD extension
That goes between the actual jb unit (black box) and the harness (cable with plugs)

The jb sits in your fuse box then the extension (connected to it) runs all the way to the left of the car. There the original harness is connected. The harness runs back across plugging in accordingly from the left to the right ending at your charge pipe

For the JB4 Fanatics... Im slightly confused.

Which 4_x setting should be used on the JB4 when flashed with the latest .ISO?

There is 4_2 - Select if running JB4 Backend Flash. Will cause 30FF if not equipped with flash.
There is 4_3 - Select if you are running the OEM Flash. Will cause over boost if used with backend flash.

Dont know, Please shed some light...

Guys

With regards to JB4 n54 ISO
Has anyone loaded the Last 2 Releases
31.9 + 32

Some good changes made for updates
But I see that when we load these ISO we cannot access the JB unit from
our steering wheel

I rolled back to 31.8 and it worked fine again

has anyone else experience this and perhaps has a resolution to make 32 work with steering wheel again

thanx

Hex 32 works fine on my car:coolShake:

Maybe you disabled the steering wheel controls by disabling the toggle switch in the app?

I doubt that
If that was disabled in app wouldn't it have same effect when I roll My back the firmware versions

Odd one

Maybe I will try load the iso 32 via laptop
I generally use my phone via BT device.
