I was under the impression if I am not doing any big mods etc and am only running JB4 the G4 board would be sufficient and It is only necessary to upgrade to G5 board if I am doing bigger mods?

yip that's true,

Nothing wrong with staying on the G4 board, there will just be no more updated firmware versions which is fine as the last version is great except for minor issues. Your power issue at 5k Rpm could be hardware related.
I had no issues with my G4 apart from that intermittent power cut like to described.

I moved to the G5 and did the ISO mod with the exact same mods as before and you can feel a difference. part throttle is improved.
My main reason was that I wanted to run Ethanol in the future so wanted the Isolated boost control.
You HAVE to do the ISO mod, the normal G5 is a jerky bitch at 30-50% throttle.

Upgrade as soon as you can. You will have less issues and you will benefit from the latest firmware.

Hi guys, as the m135i is not available in USA, I've read that BMS will not produce a tune for my car, however will the normal n55 stage 1 tune work? And if so, is it traceable ?

Currently for the new F20 bodystyle, only stage 1 will work. 
(The N55 JB4 is not compatible). 
BMS is testing the stage 2 on the F30, and depending how the testing goes with the F30, they may have something for F20 as well in the near future as it appears they have the same interface.

So in short.. the M135 is NOT ruled out by BMS as yet.

Can somebody offer me help with setting up the 2step nls on the G5? I have the extra harness, its all wired in, i'm just not too sure how to set it up? Any assistance?

If you based in Durban then our agent there can assist you but you will be charged a fee.

My question is why do you need it? I know what its for...but want to knwo why do you need it. Are you running the JB4?

I have a full stock 2007 335i Auto

I just fitted a JB4 the other day. Today i had some NF ultra octane booster in the car,, I was running map 5 ( auto tune ) ..

all i can say is WOW :joy:

The car was on the dyno this morning an made 287 KW and 590nm

Now that is HUGH gains for a car with no other mods !! JB4 is awsome!!

Thumbs up for JB4 :praise::thumbs::joy::idea:

I would recommend it !!

Congrats Hoffer. I intended to call you to get feedback...glad it went well. You must be glad you did not run map 7 hey...Map 5 rocks. :thumbs:

i wanted to use map 7 , but i decided against it..

im sure my fuel was 100 or more.. is it possible for you to get me fuel that is already right for the car.

My suggestion is that you stick with the fueling recipe that works for your car. But use NF concetrate in low doses for daily driving. 1 bottle mixed with 40 Liters pump fuel.

For dyno & race days a once off high doses is okay.
