Hey guys,

Anyone here experience part throttle jerking and hesitation after switching over to the G5 board?

feels like the power is surging back and forth when you hold the throttle between 50-75%

Do you have iso? N55 or n54?

Reload the latest firmware again. Make sure the hex file load properly and that there are no power disruptions while this happens.

If you have G5 integrated...put the jb on map 4 and tell us if the jerking still exist.

:fencelook: sounds familiar but it wasn't a g5 thing.

sorry, i should have elaborated on this and i cant edit my post. i took my jb4 out and it did the same thing, just to a lesser extent. in other words, it wasnt being caused by the jb4. your description of the problem was almost identical to mine.

Sorry needed to elaborate.

I upgraded to a G5 board from a G4. It's an N54...

Problem solved!
Seems to be an issue with the integrated board, going to ISO solved the problem.
snip snip=fixed!

Anyone else have surging at part throttle?

Not heard of issues with the N54s

Make sure you have the correct firmware for iso and that you load the default settings for n54 iso...

All settings will be automatic (dont fiddle) only change max boost to 20 and first and second gear boost if you wish...keep all other settings at default and you will have a happy car.

I'm running ISO since inception, I think all bugs have been dealt with.

Sleeper put 40 percent eth and 100 percent meth with additive on 75 and tell us how u feel afterwards.

I now want one!
Will it work with the BMW performance upgrade?

Hey Guys

My N54 is running on the auto map 5 and recently I have noticed when I go over 5500rpm there is a Jerk similar to a cut off and then the power comes back after I am not sure what the issue is has anyone else experienced this? I am only running JB4 with the G4 board.

Thanks

Put it on map 0 and see if the same things happen.

Have you logged the car yet?

A friend and I had the exact same issue on map 5, with the G4.
it was intermittent problem tho. cut the power in the high rev range for just a second.

Happened more when I switched over to map 5 from another map.
Seemed to be something with the learning curve of the Auto Tune, when I kept it on map 5 for awhile it stopped doing it.

Does your car do it all the time?
Run some logs on map 5 and switch to map 0 as twinz suggested to see if its not a hardware issue.

The G4 software/hardware are no longer supported. Outdated technology. Update to the G5 board as soon as you can.
