You will still have to consider upgrading the fuel system for big HP numbers. But a log on your current set up will show us if the lpfp is keeping up. The flash allows 80% - 100% eth but it does not mean the lpfp will be strong enough.

The flash for me like twinz said allows me to run higher concentration of eth. Recent reserch indicates that the stock pump is good to around 500bhp provided you runing meth.if you want bigger numbers you need to upgrade the pump.

For me the flash just deleted all those troublesome 29xx codes. They really a pain.

An upgrade of the pump allows for less pressure drops in the fuel pressure. If your log indicates that the pump is droping below 40 than the possibility of actually having an actual hardware fault on the pump is greater. But you will get a code and if you already tried adjust opening loop fueling than definately its hardware.

If ur car is making more than 440 HP than I would suggest upgarding if not your OEM one is fine.

yip it is, some guys with N55s have already broken the 400 mark here in SA.

oh and forgot to mention that the fuel pump upgrade has many options for eg some run in conjunction with the oem pump and others run as a standalone. each one has a specific HP rating. basically it depends on how much power you anticipate to make.

price can vary from around 200$ up to 400$. Twinz will confirm the price and if he has stock.

I get this question often:

You can run any map on the Jb4 when you have the backend flash. Map 7 is my DD map and its fantastic. :thumbs: The flash also serves as the ultimate failsafe & will retard or advance timing depending on fuel quality & map chosen. JB4 will flash in dash when it detects a lean condition or revert to stock map if it exceeds boost failsafe.

Time to update the latest firmware for the N54 crowd. Terry must have heard my desire for a proper map 7 race version.

The firmware includes several changes to improve boost performance at higher boost levels using factory turbos. For example map 7 or map 3 on a 50 additive or higher using factory turbos.
