even thou i'm a purist at heart but the V8 or V10 is a little thirsty for me, so no to those thats just too much power for me.

Please understand a E60 M5 is for no one on a budget, I cannot over emphasize this enough. At 210k you are buying one that will in all likelihood need work on some of the "big ticket" items as they are referred to. I hope you know what those are.

Your 320i has huge potential, its basically an M3 with a smaller engine. I vote that you swop in an N54 or S55 engine. Its about time that a 320i gets the respect that it rightfully deserves. The benefit is that you are in the EC, plenty of accident ridden vehicles there and labour is cheap cheap.

Dont forget to push the demister button, face all the dash airvents to the left and lock the rear right door lock to unleash the hidden power of the N46...

320i obviously is slow and can't compete with a golf.

An engine transplant for 20k might work if they put in the engine from a weedeater.

Keep 320i stock and save up for a performance car on the side (maybe sell the hideous jeep to fund that).

PS I drive an E90 320d M Sport in Space grey so it basically looks the same as yours. I just want to point out to you as someone who owns the "same" looking car. IT DOES NOT CERTAINLY LOOK BETTER THAN AN E90 M3.

I also find it weird how people go out of their way and make it a core focus to ensure that they have a faster car than their friends, and are willing to utterly rape their existing cars with different engines at a cost of "20k" or more.
