IS IT A CAUSE FOR CONCERN ?

I don't want to post in the oil thread as the post will get lost...:fencelook:
Since my last oil service, I've done 2321km and filled a pint of oil this morning in my garage whie the car was cold.
Mileage is now 154890km.
The oil was changed on 02 May 2014.
Is the car using too much oil or is it about right for its age and mileage.

what was the driving style after the service? what was the level after the service? could be that it was a little short after service( which i dont think is a problem) and the car hasnt used as much as you think...

It was full. Driving style is conservative. But traffic is very heavy. Average speed is 23.7km/h

Did you only check right after service? Or a while afterwards too?

Could be that the oil wasn't settled fully when you last checked.

I think the said spec is 750ml per 1000 km... With that said, I'd say you have no reason to worry given you've done 2000+ km... I stand to be corrected though :idea:

Maybe monitor it for a while and take it from there. My car uses about a pint every 20000km or so, but then again I do 120km per day and I'm on the highway 90% of the time with very little town driving.
