Aftermarket warranties dont give you close to what it would cost to fix a car like this out if plan. Maybe the payout will cover your labour... maybe... If you can buy a no stories car for R50k more with even a little plan left that is extendable, than why would this car ever be an option? I am not saying the F10 is unreliable but rather that any neglected car can become a timebomb.
Very few people listen to the actual owners when this is pointed out vs plan and you are left to find out how the comforting lies feel when they are paying out 20k for a 100k fix and insisting on "good used" parts. You can get by on cars with cheaper repair Bill's.. on cars like this, either you will get a quote close to if not more than MP extension for a decent warranty or you will quickly find out that the contract is close to worthless. I've seen guys on this forum and elsewhere repeatedly bury their heads in the sand about the value of having a proper Mplan.... The 20k or 30k you save on plan will cover maybe one or two things... or 10% of a big failure... that's why you pay what you pay.
If you've had the car since close to new and plan expires on your name BMW is more likely to goodwill repairs as well but again I guess people like to debate this...
This car has its licence overdue and has been sitting... those two points are red flags to me. Interior looks like it was wiped down with silicone... Your mileage may vary.
